Bumping this now we have seen the start of promotion. What is it facing in the slot?

Saw somewhere around it's Life Stories with June Brown, Silent Witness, 8 out of 10 cats does Countdown and something with James May on BBC2.

Silent Witness we can discount, so I'm guessing it could come second or third in it's slot.

It starts on a Friday which is usually a terrible idea but seeing as Christmas is over and everyone has the sh!ts from eating to much crap hence staying in could benefit it.

Although the advertising has been dreadful and I dont think many people know its coming back.

Its not like back in the Channel 4 days when everyone just knew when it was coming on because it was simple (Summer BB, Winter CBB) now its all over the place these days so the casual viewer is just like *Is CBB on again? Never even knew it started.....

thinking it will be around the 2.7 mark or maybe lower as its only a week away and theres no real build up.

Everything was released to soon.

If you're not going to do a big promo then you need to hold back all the house pics and eye just to keep people getting all excited and annoyed then BAM! release them on the Monday before its starts.

I should so work in marketing.

Mostly agree with you Dan, but don't think the advertising has been any worse than any other series on Channel 5. Hoping in the last week, they can power it through and keep advertising it. Is there any billboards, posters, magazine promotion yet?

I think this is definitely the most least advertised winter CBB.

5 days to go! More and more people speaking online, and I have seen a lot of advertising on The Sun, Daily Mail, obviously Daily Star, etc... Hoping it can get 3.5m+

3.8-4.1 Overnights would be a huge success.

Realistically a good launch would be 3.3-3.6

At this rate with lack of what I can tell talking about is about 2.8-3.3.

Theres no promotion and it starts on a Friday.

You would think Emma or Rylan would be getting interviews on Loose women and other shows by now.

Theres not 1 poster or billboard and ive seen the advert once on Channel 5.

Good point about interviews. Loose Women should be on the cards this week because its tradition! If they don't, it would be very odd.

CBB12 started with 2.7m and that was in the summer, which is why I am hoping for 3m+

I'm thinking around 2.5-2.7m. If they do some last minute advertising on other channels this week then they might hit the 3.0m+ mark.

Loose women isn't back until 6th. This morning is back on this Thursday. What days is Emma normally in the hub? Emma is on Alan Carr chatty man tomorrow night I think.

The only promotion it has going for it is on Twitter because the people rumoured with hundreds of thousands of followers. I hope that helps, but it's VERY odd they are not promoting it.

Literally hardly any of the viewing public know CBB is back on in 4 days.

Look how much promo BB14 got and the launch night ratings were shockingly bad to all of us on the forum.

Hopefully though like BB14 CBB will build but it will affect the average in a massive way if launch night figures are low.

BB14 would have averaged well over 2 million if it wasn't for the stupid double launch and dismal ratings for both shows plus the stupid decision to split the finale into 2 parts on a weeknight when watching BB came second priority to viewers getting up for their jobs in the morning.
