Many times I tried to pack in smoking so I know what your going through. Ive been off them about 8 years now, cant even stand the smell of them and believe me smokers do smell. You have done a good thing by posting it on here now we all know your packing in so we can all support you. You can do it Ben. A little tip for you, whenever you have a craving for a ciggie, go and clean your teeth so your mouth feels all nice and fresh and minty now you don't want to spoil that by having a horrible drug (nicotine) do you? What money you would use to buy a pack I believe they are very expensive now? Why not chuck your money in a bin or better still save it in a jar??? Best of luck Ben.

Bloody bunch of perverts, lol.

And yeah Mizzy, I'm planning to out the money I would spend on smokes away into a bank account and watch it grow. :hugesmile:

that's the spirit Arista, he needs all the encouragement he can get.

Benjamin 01-01-2014 10:10 PM

Arista is on his period atm, Cherie. It's okay.

I am now heading to bed (earlier than I would ever do) as I'm in a content place atm and don't want the craving to come back.

I can never understand why people try to quit at new year - parties, booze, you're destined to have a ciggie!

Benjamin 02-01-2014 08:49 AM

New Year has been and gone Ian, so no more parties for me atm. :tongue:

Day 2 woken up and atm not too bad, the real test will be at work.

Raph 02-01-2014 10:02 AM

Good luck man! Yeah the real test is when you get stressed or something to see if you can deal with that without having to go out for a smoke

Samm 02-01-2014 10:05 AM

Good luck Ben!!!!,have some ice cream that puts my stress down

Sophiee 02-01-2014 04:53 PM

good luck :).

Benjamin 02-01-2014 08:54 PM

Well work was a test but I managed to get through it (with a bad mood and a face like a smacked arse, lol).

Day 2 done. :hugesmile:

Okay, so far I have:

* reduced the carbon monoxide in my system to 12%
* Reduced my craving to 97%
* My cardio-circulatory is 98%
* Raised my life expectancy by 3 hours
* Saved 2 hours (in which I would have spent smoking)
* I have saved £13.01
* I would have smoked approximately 35 cigarettes by now.

MTVN 03-01-2014 12:14 AM

Good work Ben, think you deserve a celebratory ciggie after all that

Benjamin 03-01-2014 09:09 AM

I'm gonna save all the money for a few months and put it towards a 30th birthday present to myself :hugesmile:

Cherie 03-01-2014 09:11 AM

Benjamin 03-01-2014 12:02 PM

Ah, it's my day off and I have been fine since waking up but this last hour has been tough :(

Samm 03-01-2014 12:04 PM
