I've never done anything like that in the UK, I think as far as my family are concerned, beaches are just freezing wastelands in the UK  that's what happens when you live really far north...

Speaking of Blackpool, for ages I thought it was down by Portsmouth and Southampton just because everyone talks about the beaches down south and it's a seaside resort, had no idea it was near Manchester even though of course it is and why would it be down south... I think I only really clicked last year :joker:

I do love a holiday by the seaside. Haven't been to Blackpool for a long time and the last time I stayed at butlins was in 1997.

We did have a piss up holiday in Yarmouth a couple if years ago.

And I always go down to Cornwall when I can. I love it there.

lol I know but I mean going on holiday in the UK just seems like such an alien concept to my family, holiday to us means going on a plane somewhere... haven't been on a family holiday in years though, think it changed when my brother turned 17 and wanted to go away with his mates really... Having said that though, we went to CenterParcs a couple of times years ago, that was great

Jake. 13-01-2014 10:47 PM

need to round up my mates and get our next holiday for this year booked

..there is a Centerparcs quite near where I live, they're really fantastic places, especially for children/families...really quite expensive, though....
