I think this might be true for some young girls, but I'm under 25, very jealous of how attractive they are, but still appreciate them as housemates! Probably cause (unlike some of the attractive female housemates in other years) they do more than just prancing around half naked all of the time

Good post Jessica thank you

Maybe, but both Casey and Jasmine do appear to be chasing the 'showmance' vote, along with Lee of course, which is equally as bad. No time for that. It is easy and a total cop-out.

Agreed Lee sorry. At least now when I read posts posted by the ppl who took the time to post on my thread I will know if they are male or female and the only reason I picked Jasmine is cos Luisa is certainly more in your face and controversial, Casey is a bit dim, Sam is a no show, and no point in talking about Linda or Liz. And I am female and think she is gorgeous and would love to look like her but I actually like her for being fun to watch and controversial. Now I certainly DONT agree with her morals though even though I'm young myself lol. Peace and thanks to everyone for contributing x

I absolutely agree about Casey. I don't like her as a housemate, and it would be easy to jump on it claiming I'm "just jealous of her looks", but really, that's all she's brought to the show so far and it's boring. I tend to find Jasmine a little less reliant on her looks and "showmancing", but not much better!

Male (and gay if that has any relevance) and really like her.

female and I like her

I'm female and I'm not too keen on her as a person, she's a lovely looking woman but she has a history of sleeping with married men and seems to have no problem at all with it that makes her a bit of a tart imho, I think she proved that further actually going with Lee in the house when he had previously been with Casey.

Also when she shrieks/squeals it goes straight through me, very annoying.

Pink Pegasus 12-01-2014 05:22 PM

I'm female (26) and I have mostly liked her so far.
I find her entertaining to watch. She seems a bit mental with a few drinks in her but kinda funny to watch at the same time. The first night I was thinking 'this girl is a bit unhinged!' but still couldn't stop watching her.
She seems to have settled down a bit since the first night and seems much more relaxed in there now. I think she might have been very nervous and drank too much the first night.

From reading some things online it seems she went through quite a bit growing up. She definitely seems like a very tough person to me, y'know that kinda sexy but tough and 'cool' air about her. I don't see her as a boring airhead basically. There's something intriguing about her.
I was so surprised to see her crying over Lee professing his fake "deep feelings" for her! I really thought she just saw it all as a bit of fun with him and I really don't want to see her letting that tough guard down and actually falling for a sleaze like Lee.

One of the things that bugged me though was the comment she made last night to Louisa about Casey. It went along the lines of, "she's going to think she's right back in there with him now" Louisa said something like 'let her have him then' to which Jasmine replied 'he doesn't even want her though that's the funny thing'
- it just seemed a little bitchy because earlier I had bought that she didn't intentionally mean to hurt Casey's feelings whereas that made it all sound very competitive and bitchy.
(At the same time though Lee seems to have convinced her that Casey is a jealous bunny boiler and that he never said much to her at all to make her feel that way, and seeing as Jasmine appears to like him she is believing him)

I also didn't like when Louisa and her were speculating about what Casey did in the bathroom with Lee. They know they are on camera to millions so I thought it was unfair of them to cause speculations and rumours about what possible sexual acts Casey did with no proof - just gossip between themselves. I suppose though that you would not be thinking of the camera after awhile in there.

I don't like her friendship with Louisa. Together they seem to revert to the maturity of teenage 'mean girls' at times. Especially around Liz (who I'm also a fan of). I think Jasmine is a much nicer person away from Louisa, she does have a bitchy side and Louisa just seems to bring it out more in her. I get the feeling that she just goes along with Louisa to maintain their bond of being the fun 'bad' girls in the house. I think we would see more of her nice side if Louisa left.

Despite some small incidences of bitchiness I still like her so far. Maybe I'm being naive but I think that she is essentially a nice person who may have made some mistakes in her past. She might possibly be a bit messed up regarding her relationships with men though - especially if she is silly enough to fall for Lee. When she cried because he said he had such 'deep feelings' for her it looked to me that she was just so happy to have someone say that to her, like she was unused to having a man speak to her in a romantic way - which surprised me because as she is stunning I expected her to be used to men falling for her but maybe in America because of her rep she gets a lot of sexy/dirty chat up lines and less of the romantic stuff? Don't know just speculating and wondering the reason behind the tears.

So yeah, enjoying her as a housemate so far but if she revs up the bitchiness toward Casey or Liz or the other housemates with Louisa then I could see myself rapidly going of her.

Sorry for longish post! :spin:

..great and thoughtful post pinkpegasus..I agree that when Jasmine and Luisa are together, they seem to be quite mean toward Liz and it's something Liz herself has commented on a few times and likened it to being bullied at school and the 'mean girls'....

Kate! 12-01-2014 06:02 PM

Female, dislike her on a personal level, she's not a good person, she's attractive but there's no warmth in her.

Yeah I wish they'd give Liz more of a chance and try to get to know her better instead of just seeing her as the oddbird in the house. Hopefully with time Liz might get to have a few conversations with them and they might start to see a different side to each other. :-)

Gusto Brunt 12-01-2014 06:13 PM

Well since Jasmine and Luisa are both slags, I would say not many real women are like that.

Those two slappers don't represent women today. They represent the seedy side of life, that's all.

Videostar 12-01-2014 06:18 PM

Jasmine gets a lot of stick on here but I think Luisa is far worse and yet females seem to love her, I could ask the same thread question about Luisa.

..yeah, it's a bit of a strange one, isn't it because although she's older and maybe doesn't have anything in common with them, it's the same with Linda and the older guys, yet they don't seem to act the same toward them as they do with Liz...

It may be that Linda and the guys make more of an effort to chat and interact with the girls and Liz is more reserved. Linda, Jim and Lionel are all fairly feisty and outgoing too whilst Liz seems a bit quieter. Liz is a bit of an easy target because she does seem a bit different to the rest and a bit lost in there at times.(although I think she is well able to stand up for herself)
It would be nice if they were given a task together or something where they had to work together and actually listen to and get to know each other. I think some effort has to be made on Liz's side too though. She may need to open up a bit more and the girls may need to give her a chance and listen to what she has to say.

I don't like Luisa. Find her extremely annoying and also think she has a very mean bitchy streak. I mean a genuine mean streak and a bit of badness there. I'm sure she does have a good side to her too but I just can't warm to her at all. I find her attention seeking and ill mannered. I much prefer Jasmine.

..yeah, I also think that a lot of the celebs in there are quite shallow and also very self absorbed and I don't think that Liz is really interested in shallow conversations, she strikes me as someone who likes to talk more deeply about things, perhaps..?...even the older ones like Lionel, he's nice but he's very 'showbiz and surface', in the house at least...although they may all have good conversations and we just don't see that part of it on the highlights because obviously it doesn't make such good TV...

I agree with you there. Liz does seem to enjoy more serious types of conversations and she does both hold and stick by her beliefs which I like. Also agree with you about Lionel, he is very 'showbiz' and I reckon there's probably a huge ego lurking there under all the sparkle.
