Praying for this kid

Josy 16-01-2014 10:37 PM

Really hope he's ok that's a long time now without anyone coming forward to say they had spotted him or that.

Really hope they find him, it was on the screens in the subway station this morning, can only hope it was his dad taking him away because he missed him and not something more sinister

Yeah very true, I really hope his father has him

This story does not ring true.......we are supposed to believe a 3 year old can get up in the middle of the night dress himself then open all the doors needed to be opened and then slip out quietly into the cold night.

Why....to go where ?? very very unlikely if not impossible I mean how would he even open the door I mean he's only 3 years old 2 foot tall probably unable to reach the locks let alone have the strength to turn the locks and push all the doors open.

And where would he go....would walk a mile in that cold and then drown in the sea ??

Again very unlikely.

I think there are probably simpler more plausible explanations for his disapperance. more likely a relative on his fathers side has helped him leave the property for whatever reason.I think he must have had adult help to leave the property.

Either way I hope the police find some evidence that suggests he has been helped by an adult and that it is connected with his estranged father and his relatives.

Lets hope this isn't another Maddie McCann in the making......!!!!

Its been a long time for a 3 year old to be out alone?

The mother has said he can open the Door.

Shirley Manson from Garbage tweeted about this earlier. Scotland is on the look out!

Britain is a small island, so he can't have gone far...

It's not THAT small for a 3 year old to go missing.

Kizzy 17-01-2014 12:05 PM

No word from the dad yet?

AnnieK 17-01-2014 12:23 PM

That's a good point actually - I haven't heard his father really mentioned other than the news reports saying the mother and father are estranged. I hope he is with him but surely he would be the first port of call for officers and they would have mentioned the father had been questioned :conf: Have I missed something? I know it will be awful if its a father abduction as he's been taken from his mother but there are so many volunteers out searching that the Police must have some really serious concerns.... So so hope he is found safe

Maybe the fact that they haven't mentioned him means that they can't find him but don't want to scare off even further by saying they're looking for him?

Yeah good point...I would be a rubbish investigator, I'd be blabbing every two minutes!

Josy 17-01-2014 12:44 PM

There's apparently been a potential sighting Thursday morning..

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...-fife-25772465

Josy 17-01-2014 12:47 PM

Sighted alone.

Hundreds of people have turned up to help search for him which I think is a great thing to see at least there's still a small sense of community around these days.

Oh wow, people saw a 3 year old wondering around alone and they didn't go up and ask where his parents were?

Hmm yeah good point that actually.

The article doesn't say much about the sighting either just this

Quote:

Police Scotland have said they believe there was a "potential sighting" of missing three-year-old Mikaeel Kular on Thursday morning.

Members of the public have reported seeing a young boy alone at about 08:30 in West Pilton Gardens, close to Mikaeel's home

I think it said that some of the witnesses were driving down the road when they saw a glimpse of a young boy, though if it is also ones on the street then i have no idea why they wouldnt ask him, why he was by himself.
I'm worried for this boy now, i really hope he is found, the mum must just feel absolutely sick, awful :(
If he has just wandered about, what has made him suddenly get up in the middle of the night and just go??

arista 17-01-2014 12:52 PM

3 is to young to be out alone

I think that report may not be him
as the kid had a hat on,
and Mikaeel does not like hats - his mother has said.

Josy 17-01-2014 06:52 PM

I hate to be the one to say it but something's not right here..

This little boy supposedly has not been to nursery since before Christmas because he was ill, he normally shares a room with his sister but not that night because he was ill yet he woke up in the night got dressed then left the flat, opening three pretty heavy doors by himself and no one heard a thing??

Has anyone even seen him lately before he went missing???

I'm really hoping he's found safe and well very soon, poor kid.

Yes something stinks, not sure this is accurate but picked it up from FB

This from Daily Mail article quote "A former neighbour claimed the children may have once been left alone at home when Miss Kular’s former husband was due to pick them up for the day.

Patricia Kilpatrick, 72, said: ‘He had come to take the kids on a Sunday but he couldn’t get them from inside the house.

‘She had gone out for the night and hadn’t come home so they were there in the house by themselves. Soon after that the police arrived to sort out everything.’
