A lot of his funny moments never make the live shows. They pefer to paint him as grumpy.

Lol!I think these bits are cleverly edited out to make him out to be Victor Meldrew.

I'd love to see more of Jim on TV.I think he's too old to want to go touring now.
Live at the Apollo would be good though.

i think that goes for most HM that their thing mostly doesnt get shown whether it is being funny sad or whatever. so never for him. nah.

He is grumpy, but there's a lot more to him than that.

Interesting point and oddly enough that is what one of my friends said about him on friday.
He is coming across as a Victor Meldrew character in there and that character was thought to be hilarious on TV by being grumpy all the time.

I don't think that will do Jim any harm at all being seen like that.
Really good point you made.

He just makes me laugh Kate, just to look at him,he's like a disapproving dad:joker::joker::joker:I know his jokes are naughty, but they weren't then, people were allowed to have a laugh.

Jim is a very funny man, I used to love him on The Generation Game & Big Break :D

Anybody old enough to remember "Up the Elephant and round the castle"?

A sitcom from the early to mid eighties with Jim in the lead role, others that were in it included Sue Nichols (Audry from corrie) Anita Dobson (Ange from Eastenders) John Bardon (Jim Branning Eastenders) and Brian Capron (Richard Hilman corrie)

It ran for 3 series on ITV.

I can remember it being on and think I watched it now and again, I cant remember now what it was about though.

Anybody else remember it?
