Jim was only saying it to make the huskies feel supported by the rest of the house by letting them know they didn't drink the brandy.

Jim was actually being kind to Linda by pretending she didn't drink it too ! (even though she did drink it!!)

Insane that people can blame Jim for this one.

Exactly - Linda happily told them she'd drunk it, and even described what it tasted like.

I think they'd decided not to let the others know they'd been drinking, in case it made them feel worse, hence Ollie's fib. Linda then made him look bad because she told them they'd all been drinking wine. By the end of her rant she'd changed it to Jim drinking all the wine.

I cannot believe that anyone could possibly think Jim was responsible for this!

I've come to the conclusion linda should just keep shtum, it apparent what he's trying to do.

..he wasn't 'right' to bring up the cherry brandy as such in that there wasn't any need to mention it at all and even if he did do it to make himself look good as with the 'not eating if they can't..' thing, it was still nothing that was going to be a big deal until Linda made it a big deal because she can't bare the thought of Jim looking good or nice or anything positive in anyone's eyes...her hatred is eating her up from the inside and she sees nothing he does as anything other than a personal attack on her...

All he was doing was giving lusia, dappy, casey and lee abit of support by saying we have drank nothing and we got some brandy shakes and we never drank any.

Linda on the other hand just found this as a way to have a go at Jim and pretty much made an argument with herself lol

He did it to make linda look disloyal.... he even presented them with the evidence.

Disregarding the bit in bold precisely because no one was right, there were no sides to be taken here, Jim made a comment and Linda made it about her and got offended by it. It has nothing to do with "obsessive stanning" it's just calling it like I see it. Linda hates Jim and believes that her hate of him can be justified because she really believes that everything he says is a dig at her... which means that it doesn't matter whether or not he is making comments aimed at her, she's always going to assume that everything he says is an attempt to undermine her. The only "obsessive" behaviour is Linda's, not anyone at home viewing.

You seem to be going by what Linda said. You should ignore what Linda said as it was an emotional outburst, and not a logical outburst. She said "Jim is trying to make me look bad!", that was paranoia.

They were asked if they had got any alcohol, firstly it was Ollie that chose to answer and said no.

Jim then added that they got cherry brandy's brought in but they didn't drink them,he never added but Linda did and in fact I hadn't realised that the others apart from Lnda hadn't drunk them either.

Things all left there would have been fine.

Then enter Linda who had to state firstly she had drank hers and then she chose to go on and try to make it out that Jim had only brought it up because he knew she hadn't.
The woman shouldn't be out in public, she could start another war with her hatred,she is totally pathetic and ridiculous.

When Ollie said they hadn't had any alcohol, Jim didn't pipe up and contradict him saying he,Jim, had wine.

Linda just cannot leave things as they are said, she has to twist everything back round to her and Jim, I wonder if at some time since she is clearly obsessed to a degree as to him, that he has knocked her back some time in her earlier career.
She hates him, she says, yet she seems to want to control what he can say, when he can say it and how he says it and to whom,even to the point of what he does too in the house.

Can't stand passive aggressive **** stirrers, and I'm glad Linda didn't let him get away with his pathetic attempts to once again make himself look good. That halo he's put on himself needs to be firmly knocked off.

The only way it would be Jim's fault is if he went back in time, and impregnated Linda's mom.
