I believe that Jim has mellowed with age, as the saying goes sometimes!I think CBB has 'helped' him to perhaps learn to control his past/present behaviour that has been unacceptable to others.... well, he's done a very good job and deserves to win.!.. unlike like Louisa that 'says it as it is' and not considering others feelings. Sometimes in life you have to hold your tongue and have some 'decorame..

hes not a chauvanist nor is he sexist. so this is a case of male hating sexism.
the ONLY time he ever said hes a chauvanist is when he was trying to make louisa laugh when she was crying her eyes out. that showed he has heart , he is caring, he has enormous self deprecating humour. but all these qualities were lost on the sexist self obsessed louisa

Jim deserves the win over any of the others.

It was good to see him get some positive female support from Sam's mum tonight and from Casey's mum on the next show. It helps dispel those knee-jerk accusations of 'jim is sexist' to have HM's mums - grounded, caring women - show their support for him on the show.

..I think if someone like Sam wins, it'll just leave it open for other future housemates to go in and be exactly the same and 'coast' through and that would be the worst sort of house...I wouldn't mind Luisa winning but definitely not Sam...she would neither be a 'victory' as a housemate or a victory for women...it would be no victory at all...

he has been very genuine and caring to everyone. the way he helped jasmine when liz mentioned suicide, the way he cooks for them all, the way he helped louisa when she was crying, casey umpteen times when she was hurt, the way he has helped lee umpteen times and olly when he was hurt and dappy when he had his migraine. great bloke and always done with enormous humour and heart

He even managed to make Luisa smile on yesterday's show in a way that no other HM has when he made her see and admit to being caring. That was a nice moment for both Jim and Luisa.

true . jim has destroyed the man hating sexist lies and risen above it all with heart and humour

C5's own BB site have a very high percentage of women who want Jim to win. So most have put the past to bed.

Agreed, said as much on a different thread, it won't bode well for BB15 if Sam or indeed Ollie win.

I thought Jim was shown in amazing light tonight. His talk with Casey and him opening the bedroom door to watch the drama made great TV. I'm still rooting for Luisa but if he wins he would be a worthy winner.
Wednesday's final is shaping up to be a really interesting one, Sam(), Dappy and Jim all have huge fanbases, it's interesting to see which way it goes! Luisa is now the underdog now in my eyes, she has a large following online but i don't know how many of her online fans are voting? She's gone from having majority boos to having a mixed crowd reaction so i'm curious to see where she places. I do think Jim will take it now though.

..I do agree, I think that CBB has probably helped him a lot and his tolerance of others and if he wins, I think that public approval will hopefully help him even more...

Completely agree with you Ammi. It's so easy for a celebrity to keep quiet for 4 weeks with the promise of a large pay cheque waiting for them at the end of it as motivation. Normal people have to wait twice as long and only one of them gets paid; there is no such motivation to keep quiet and self censor in order to maintain a good public image nor is there a financial incentive to be entertaining because the celebrities get the money regardless. There have of course been poor winners of BB/CBB in the past, but this series especially has been full of drama so it would be a cop out to have a dull winner like Sam or Ollie.

Not really though? People always say that but the winner really has no bearing on anything for the future? Cameron's win certainly didn't affect BB5, Anthony's win didn't affect BB7, Aaron's win didn't affect BB13, Bez's win didn't affect CBB4, Paddy's win didn't affect CBB9, Julian's win didn't affect CBB11, and Sam Evans winning BB14 won't affect BB15 and if Sam Faiers were to win CBB13, it would have absolutely no affect on CBB14. I only picked her because she's probably the winner with the best chance and I would love for Jim to be beaten by a woman.

Z 26-01-2014 10:14 PM

The winner of any given series obviously has no bearing on any future series - but it matters within the context of the series they won... Sam winning would be a disservice to this series. Sam is not the reason people have been tuning in, Sam is not the reason why BB is all over the papers and trending on Twitter. If you want a woman to beat Jim then Luisa would be the one to back. She might have her flaws but she put them out there for all to see, entertained us all and still showed herself to be a fun, interesting person who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Sam has done none of that. Yes, she's been ill, but there just isn't very much to her as a person. She's quiet. She doesn't think much or say much. She's just there.

Well said.

..I think with Siavash, we had a great gameplayer but his game didn't quite win it for him and the next big gameplayer for me was Arron, who of course did win and I think is one of the best ever housemates..and we had Dexter last year who also played a great game and with this, we've had Jim, who I also think has been a gameplayer but with all of them, they have also showed some good qualities as well..yeah, they're been flawed/are flawed but most housemates are..so they are all worthy winners and people who have been a huge part of making the series what it was...they're all people who still get discussed to a large degree..?...but I can't personally see anything to discuss about Sam or anything that stands out for her to be remembered as a good house mate....

Vanessa 26-01-2014 10:18 PM

No Sam or Ollie, please. Fence sitters don't deserve to win. :nono:

Agreed.

Most viewers don't vote but if every viewer voted then Sam or Ollie wouldn't win as most viewers prefer the big characters.

Siavash and Aaron and Dexter and Jim are all horrendous and their "gameplaying" was largely disgusting and off-putting. How much you're discussed doesn't really have a bearing on how worthy you are of winning, nobody acts like Jade was robbed of her victory and cheering audience in CBB5.

Siavash, Aaron, Dexter and Jim may be horrendous in your eyes but they were all loved by many many hardcore BB fans and viewers. You can't knock that.
