Yes, I think all of them taste quite different, if you get a glass of tap water and buy a Tesco every day value water and a bottle of Evian and did a blind folded taste test it would be extremely easy to tell which is which.

Don't those supermarkets basically just use tap water for their really cheap value stuff

Is that the same as Soda Water?

No, they're not allowed to do that, I remember there was a scandal about ASDA doing that last year or something.

Jesus. 17-02-2014 12:32 PM

Tell you what I have noticed, that water out of the bathroom tap tastes better than water out of the kitchen tap. :suspect:

Yeah that was the story about Asda that I'd been thinking of, thought it might have just been general practice

Marc 17-02-2014 12:34 PM

I pray over my water and it tastes excellent

My mum always told me not to drink out of the bathroom tap. I have no idea why but she said if I wanted a drink I had to get it from downstairs. I think she was just being mean and making me run up and downstairs.

Jessica. 17-02-2014 12:39 PM

Bathroom water is recycled from the shower/bath/sink, it's not supposed to be for drinking.

Jesus. 17-02-2014 12:47 PM

That's not the case any more, unless you've still got an old set up storage tank without a combination boiler. I had a new boiler fairly recently and I asked them this exact question because bathroom tap has always tasted better than kitchen tap water to me.

Marc 17-02-2014 12:48 PM

I drink from all taps, puddles, drainpipes etc

lostalex 17-02-2014 12:50 PM

i like water to have a slightly metallic taste.

speaking of water, remember when people used to drink from water fountains? whatever happened to water fountains?? i haven't seen a water fountain in ages. like since the 90's. there used to be water fountains everywhere, and people would drink from them, sometimes there'd even be a line to drink from a water fountain.

We have a water tank in the attic, that's where our bathromm tap water comes from

Bathroom tap water isn't for drinking if you are in a house that still has a storage tank.

I was always told the same Annie but I think most houses have updated boilers these days and don't use storage tanks.

Josy 17-02-2014 12:55 PM

I still wouldn't drink from the bathroom tap though, just out of habit.

And suddenly that fight for independence has left you without clean water in your bathroom :hehe:

Come back to the motherland and we'll sort your boilers out for you.

Why would I want a to have a drink in the bathroom anyway? :idc:

Josy 17-02-2014 12:57 PM

Also getting back to the thread topic, I can't taste the difference from bottled stuff no but there's a fresh water spring where we live and the water from there is the best water I have ever drank in my life it's just always so fresh and cold ahhhh I could drink some right now.

Think schools and gyms are the only places you get those these days

They have a water fountain in one of the shopping centres near me actually, that's the only one I can think of now though

MTVN 17-02-2014 01:04 PM

I'm also not a fan of the water they have on the contintent, it has a bit of a weirder taste there especially from the tap, they often used to say not to drink the tap water in hotels over there but it generally seems to be safe now I think

Marc 17-02-2014 01:05 PM

Is it just me or can you really taste the difference with soft water and hard water areas?
