If people want to pay to see him, again that is their perogative, personally though I liked him as a HM, his brand of humour doesn't appeal to me but it obviously does to others.

I don't think that he has much material tbh aside from yew tree and his divorce battles

A very fair post Cherie.
The point is he was a top comedian, a massive pull for viewers for ages on TV in his various shows and he still apparantly sells out his appearances too.
For me, I think I will find him hilarious and as you say others have used their time in the house for publicity purposes so why shouldn't he.

I also think a large amount of people will happily pay to see him and I will be one of them.
Of course and as you said above, his humour won't appeal to everyone but just because it doesn't to some, that doesn't remove his success and appeal to a great many others.

At any rate it is no worse than Luisa and Dappy's magazine spread where they pretended they were going to get together lol

Good old Jim, brilliant comedian & has been for many years, quite sad that some think a slapper with a cake shop is more talented than him though :laugh2:

Urgh, he just makes my flesh crawl, thank flip he's from a comedic dying breed.

anne666 25-03-2014 05:57 PM

If he's telling tales about CBB HM's at least it will be new material. Boring old fart. Always was even as a young man. Maybe he'll resurrect some kind of career from a few BB fans. Maybe is friend dirty Desmond will get his face on TV again. His shows are NOT sold out as someone else said.

Marsh. 26-03-2014 01:06 AM

Cake shop.

I saw Jim Davidson's show a couple of weeks ago. A friend took me because he knows I'm a Big Brother fan. He's American, so had no idea who Jim Davidson is... so that was an amusing learning curve for him. There was an amazing mix of people in the audience and Jim did talk quite a bit about the other housemates. I would never have gone if I hadn't been taken, but I have to say it was *******ing hilarious.

You should Vanessa... I never thought I'd be recommending Jim Davidson's show but it was really, really funny.

He was an awful, un-funny twat back in the day when his staple material was his racist routines based on his oh so intelligently thought up 'Chalky White' character where he was blatantly mocking the West Indian accent and people. He also used to regularly refer to Japanese and Chinese people as "slopes". Such a great guy!
He's also made many extremely poor taste 'jokes' about the disabled and violence against women (including how he'd given one of his ex-wives a black eye!). If that wasn't enough the guy was and still is a staunch supporter of Margaret Thatcher, the woman responsible for pretty much killing off our countries Industries while further lining the pockets of the already wealthy and leaving millions of the less fortunate living on the edge of poverty. Oh......and let's not forget that she was very good friends with and gave refuge to an ex dictator who was avoiding being held accountable for his many human-rights abuse crimes against his own people who he had tortured and murdered in their thousands! Davidson clearly has as good taste in the people he admires as he does in the subjects he chooses to mock and the people he chooses to demean.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why so many people thought he was such a great housemate ?:conf:
I was very glad to see that the many predicted TV opportunities that his supporters claimed would be thrown at him didn't materialize. Hopefully he'll disappear back under the rock from whence he crawled and stay there this time.:bored:
