I think we're just starting to see this trend emerge here, the 'status dog' a friend of mine works with rescue dogs and says 80% are staffs.
Maybe he's highlighting how not addressing the problem in one city has manifested into a huge issue for the whole city?

Its a trend that has been here for a while, the vast majority of dogs at say battersea are staffy variants.

you're changing the subject, we are talking about the louis theroux show, which was a staged hoax... it was all set up for the cameras and he was in on it. It was obvious how fake the whole thing was.

No, this is a rather hysterical accusation that you have made but as noone will agree with you as you are mistaken Its best we move the discussion on?:spin:

It will be the same across the country I guess, then there are kids attacked by these mistreated unsocialised dogs and they blame the dog!

twice (once on the plasma and once on iplayer). I also read a decent interview with LT in the Radio Times. I have also read most of his fathers books and watched near on every documentary LT has made.

watch it again now that i've said it's faked, and then each scene think to yourself, how did they have the cameras ready? how did louis seem to react so immediately? How does it all seem to fit so perfectly into this 1 hour narrative...

you'll notice it, and reach the same conclusion.

I love Louis Theroux and his documentaries.

I was going to give the recent one a miss since I'm not a big dog lover, but ten/fifteen minutes in I felt that I couldn't miss something with Louis Theroux in it.

I actually really enjoyed it. He managed to make the most simplest thing really interesting.

I loved the women at the dog pound and the excellent dog guy who had the dog brain tattoo - he was awesome.

I understand how documentaries are made, by your reasoning you could accuse David Attenborough with the same motives

umm, i hate to break your heart, but yea... david attenborough didn't just happen to be around when the rare species was mating,... hate to break it to you...:(

it took months of preparation and staging to get those 30 seconds of rare birds ****ing.

You miss my point, all documentaries are crafted.

So you're saying that those dogs are really sweet and playful when the cameras aren't rolling?

i'm saying you can find aggressive dogs anywhere, and if you need them to be on camera, someone will let you pay them to put them on camera.

Did you watch it? This is an issue there alex all the time, it was not a set up for the purpose of television.
And yes I'm sure it happens in other cities too.

I watched it kizzy, do you really think i would have spent this much time talking about it if i hadn't even watched it? I can give you a link to where i downloaded it from if you don't believe me.

Crimson Dynamo 25-03-2014 09:51 AM

60,000 abandoned dogs in LA

Battersea in London gets around 5000 dogs per year

I can't believe you think it's a set up, what would be the purpose of that... highlighting a problem that doesn't exist? it makes no sense.
