^This. I have the same problem, cos in Scotland, Eoin seems to be Ian, but after about a year of knowing Iceman I realised his was pronounced Owen... Yet I still think of him as Ian.. :/

..yeah, in my head it's Ee-on but I think it's actually Owen..?...

Eoin is pronounced like Owen.

Niamh is Neev, how many more times, MH is pronounced as V in Irish as is BH :fist:

I know but my friend's called Eoin "Iain", it always confuses me :laugh:

The old Irish translation of "Owen" is actually Eoghan (just to confuse matters even more) :laugh:
