:pipe: Just be confident with your hair or lack of, don't let it define you

Glenn. 05-04-2014 12:15 AM

Shut up with your lush locks

King Gizzard 05-04-2014 12:15 AM

Wayne Rooney looked much better when he just shaved his hair instead of this whispy crap he's got now

Not that he is a heartthrob, just in terms of he generally looked better then

MTVN 05-04-2014 12:17 AM

I think Rooney has done a pretty good job, but then most people won't be able to afford the sort of transplant he got and he didnt need to worry about it that much anyway when he's married with a kid

Z 05-04-2014 12:19 AM

Wayne Rooney looks like a troll with or without hair and he still managed to land a hottie like Coleen, anything is possible

King Gizzard 05-04-2014 12:21 AM

Is Coleen a hottie, and I think they were going out when she was just your average girl too

She's at least a 6.4/10 and he's a 1.7 reaching into 2.something territory because he's a footballer, still definitely punching above his weight

MTVN 05-04-2014 12:27 AM

Wayne is the balding man's hero

And at any rate, this just proves my point, he managed to bag her despite looking like a troll and before he was even remotely close to being successful. I'm not really sure what my point is other than "it doesn't matter if you have hair or not" but whatever

King Gizzard 05-04-2014 12:30 AM

And Greg Wallace is the proper unadulterated slaphead bald man's hero

King Gizzard 05-04-2014 12:34 AM

All those years of Shearer having that little island of hair on the top bit of his head and wanting to get the shaver out during MOTD

..yep, I think this too, I know it sounds naff/corny but hair/lack of it etc wouldn't make a guy less or more attractive for me because it really is to do with the person they are...I remember that one of my son's friends at school was physically probably the definition of 'geek' but he has the most incredible personality and that's what people/girls see in him...he dated some of the 'most popular/'hot' etc girls at school...

..but anyway, going back to the hair topic..I guess there will come a point when you would have to make a decision whether to shave it off completely..but that might not happen for ages though, just because you may start receding early/it doesn't meant that it will necessarily be that your hair loss is rapid...

Natalie. 05-04-2014 07:40 AM

Clicked receding but it doesn't really matter what their hair looks like.Wouldn't not see someone because of their hair

Kyle 05-04-2014 08:05 AM

I think it's only those incredibly vain dating shows with the blonde bimbo with unrealistic expectations where I've seen people comment on not wanting someone with a receding hairline.

Not really heard many lasses bring it up as an issue, not that I hang around with a lot of lasses really so I could be talking out my ass.

Jords 05-04-2014 08:07 AM

I have a receding hairline but it doesnt bother me, its what comes with being male.

Jords 05-04-2014 08:08 AM

I would say grey hairs when youre young is worst...

there is someone for every one!
we all have hang ups, even people we consider to be attractive.
lots of good looking people feel ugly!
just treat people how you want to be treated.

..I wonder if they met someone that they really liked, if that would all go by the by though...I know that we all have 'physical' preferences of what we deem to be 'attractive' but when it comes to actually being attracted to someone, it's more the person they are...?...hmmm, I'm trying to think of an 'opposite' analogy...say it was a heterosexual guy and he thought, oh I don't think short hair on females looks good, I tend to be attracted to long hair..or I don't really like blonde hair/always am attracted to dark hair..then he met someone who was lovely, who he really liked in every way but they had short hair or blonde hair..?..I just don't think it would be the thing that he would think..ughhh, that short hair spoils them/I couldn't possibly date a short haired female...probably an awful analogy tbh.....

..EDIT:..what I mean is that it's the person they/we see..not a hairline/lack of hair etc...

Jake. 05-04-2014 08:23 AM

My hair is already thinning/receding and I'm not even 19 :( only to a small extent but still

No I agree, but in both sexes we do get people (a minuscule amount) who do scoff at certain physical attributes and use it as a barrier to potential dates. Whether or not they grow out of it I don't know, they tend to be very unpleasant people anyway so I doubt very many people on here socialise with those type of people very much. The vast majority of people are open minded and wouldn't batter an eyelid at a receding hairline, it is natural and it changes sod all in the grand scheme of things.

AnnieK 05-04-2014 08:29 AM

This is not a good style if you're receding..

lets be honest if a guy meets a girl in a club that is up for it!, she could look like the back end of a bus, in that moment she is a super model.

guys tend to think with their willies.
