I will never forget when I went to get one for me gav and the kids one day a few years back and it came to about £30 (mind we got drinks too). Could have gone out for a proper meal for that much  |
Subway is usually around 8 dollars with the chips/crips and drink, here in the states.
Then again, our veggies are fresh. |
a 6 inch sub and drink is usually filling with no sides needed and free refills, all for £3. far more value for money than mcdonalds
and they do a loyalty card |
Subway is quite cheap. :umm2: They also do the €4 deal and €6 deal which is a 6inch or footlong sub with a drink.

Just found out the the subway just up the road from the one I use is kosher only. Makes sense really as its in an area that is predominantly Jewish. Never been to that one so would never have known
Though I still think adding kosher options to the menu would be a better option than kosher only... |

I find it hypocritical that people worry about how much pain different religions impart on animals prior to their slaughter. The fact is we all eat meat regardless of how the meat gets to the table. And we all accept the animals are going to be killed.

so raise them healthily, prevent distress by not killing them in front of eachother etc |
Why don't they just have a separate halal meat for Muslims
I eat at McDonald's more anyway |

I don't really care if I'm served halal or Kosher food, the only thing that would bother me is taking Pork off the menu..........but then again I never eat in Subway so I don't really care anyway
|
How it's killed wasn't the issue initially was it, rather the removal of a choice?
I guess if the franchisee has agreed with subway too remove an item from sale due to religious sensibilities then that's up to them. They lose your business if they don't sell what you like. |

It reminds me of the story of the checkout ops refusing to serve alcohol too, if the owner is devout he just may not want to handle/store pork products?
And I guess you wouldn't open a bbq shop in a vegan retreat would you? you have to cater for the community you serve. |
