Lea and Richard were the perfect mum and dad role, it was actually sad when they were up for eviction against each other

Similar ages will be good, late 20s to mid 30s should be about right.

There always is a age group separation in the house when there are late teens/early20 somethings with late 30s/older HM's on the other side of the divide....and always the public wrongly favours the younger HM's. :nono:

That's why there should be housemates across a spectrum. 20s/30s/40s/maybe 50s.

But all the HM's, no matter what age group they are in, should have others in their age group to talk to, too many times in the past there has been an overload of teeny and early 20 something HM's and only a token 30 something or above HM, and they just end up being nominated all the time and isolated.

Yes, a couple of housemates in their early 20s, late 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s.

I'm not saying one from each. You can do that with 14-16 housemates.

I would like a mix of ages and not all in their 20's

cheeky_monkey 24-05-2014 09:32 AM

A mix of different ages

Dash Darington 24-05-2014 12:09 PM

I love an old housemate who could die. A cranky one, please.

Not here for a repeat of BB12.

Sophiee 24-05-2014 12:31 PM

I prefer a mix of ages but not too many older housemates, maybe 1 or 2 but that's enough because they tend to be less willing to have fun.

Kizzy 24-05-2014 12:37 PM

A good mix

If they put older ones in they need to be like Lesley, Victoria and Carole

Mixed/Various Ages is better as you get to see the interaction between different ages

Mystic Mock 25-05-2014 03:54 PM

Various as it makes it more fun for us to watch the older and younger HM's (who normally don't have much in common with each other) having to put up with each other for 10 weeks.

A mix for me of different ages, classes, occupations etc...

Youngest should be around 20. Average between 25-35. Oldest housemate must be over 45. Older housemates do provide entertainment.

Three 20-23 year olds
Seven 24-33 year olds.
Two 34-39 year olds.
Two Over 40s.

Very young house mates usually have nothing to them. The mid 20s-mid 30s are much better housemate in regards to quality going by my favourites.

BB12. Do you need any more evidence?

Spoon 26-05-2014 02:20 AM

I don't like seeing mum and dad types complaining about the noise and trying to get people to go to bed early -- that type of older person/personality shouldn't be cast IMO. I like seeing mostly people in their 20s and 30s and if there are older people, just like anyone else, they should be in really good physical condition, able to handle tasks/challenges.

I agree that type of housemate is often boring and sticks by all the rules which isn't always great entertainment, but the arguing with the young ones about staying up can be :D.

armand.kay 26-05-2014 02:48 AM

We need a crazy old woman who likes to party (not Denise crazy).

Maaaaybe two of those arguments could be entertaining but after that it gets pretty redundant!

smeagol 26-05-2014 09:51 AM

i just want personalities age of the housemate shouldn't matter.
you can have boring 20 year olds and boring old gits. makes no difference. i want people will some life in them, mixed is always interesting anyway there's divides there shouldn't be but there is
