Yes, social media tends to mean facebook/twitter comments.

No need to be pedantic. Reading social media comments/twitter comments, it's all the same thing and it stinks.

Tregard 24-05-2014 08:32 PM

I don't want the housemates trying to second guess their own actions because of something someone on the outside said.

This is a potential series-ruiner.

people have to stop thinking C4 are gods of BB they destroyed BB11 and put no effort into BB10

They obviously were tired of it. A 3/4 year break would do them good from Big Brother, and I'd much rather a C4 BB than a C5 Real Housewives rip off.

Marsh. 24-05-2014 08:45 PM

Yes, and to be honest the audience were tired too.

The show didn't need moving to another channel, it needed a break.

I wouldn't have minded them holding onto the rights but not making another BB for 3 or 4 years. Ratings would have probably increased and it would have allowed them to go at it with fresh minds. Big Brother belongs on Channel 4!

Yeah, they could've built up interest again if they brought it back this year after it had been off screen since 2010.

me after reading the article

it's gonna be the same mess like it's been since 2011

Lowkey 24-05-2014 11:45 PM

Get the **** out of here with this outside involvement ****.

swinearefine 25-05-2014 01:31 AM

lots of tasks and contact with outside world? yeah **** this series. I think it's time for me to give up on BBUK, they're clearly not ever going to pull their **** together to make a decent civilian series.

Marsh. 25-05-2014 01:34 AM

I don't understand why everyone's upset about tasks? :suspect:

They've taken over the show, increasingly involve contact with the outside world, and take away from time that could be spent highlighting the housemates' personalities and the house dynamics. Plus the tasks nowadays are nothing compared to what they were on C4.

Marsh. 25-05-2014 01:42 AM

I undertand not wanting contact with the outside world but tasks are part of the BB experience. Makes no difference.

Tasks have always been a part of BB, but they're completely different today from what they were on C4. Now they have tasks on the daily, constant secret tasks which they hand out to the HMs they want to get more airtime, and they're boring and poorly thought out.

Marsh. 25-05-2014 01:55 AM

You're jumping to conclusions.

I think having a good theme and lots of tasks helps provide lots of content.
Which could mean a myriad of things.

Educated guess based off of 3 years of C5 BB. It means that they will have a bunch of horrible tasks wasting everyone's time.

Cal. 25-05-2014 09:30 AM

I just want them to give it up</3

.... Or worse

Cal. 25-05-2014 11:19 AM

The producers should watch BB5, BB6, BB7 and BB8. :idc:

Samm 25-05-2014 11:22 AM

I wouldn't start saying negative things about it before the series even starts tbh

I mean people were saying how bad the CBB13 handcuff twist was before it had began but then people warmed to it
