Yeah, I've noticed it more with the talent shows as well, -contestant slows down a popular dance-track in an edgy and original manner-

It still counts because it's still a very lazy dull cover of another song (allbeit the original is dull as well)

Lily is the queen of dull and covering dull bands. Her cover of Naive is a good example.
