not at all.
bitching and bullying are two very different things. plus it's not like jale doesn't get on with anyone, she has her own group of friends.

Amy Jade 12-06-2014 10:51 PM

Not bullying but I do think she is trying to intimidate Christopher and Jale.

kistar 12-06-2014 10:59 PM

Yes for sure.

Shaun 12-06-2014 11:01 PM

I wouldn't say she's bullying them, she's just playing a really obvious manipulation game and making sure the house and her minions have 2 clear targets.

uniquedude 12-06-2014 11:05 PM

Technically yes, heres the official definition: "use superior strength or influence to intimidate someone"

I would say she is feeling intimidated hence why she cried and Pauline/Helen are using their influence in the house to do this

they may be two different things but pauline is doing both and just because Jale has friends doesnt mean it isnt bullying?????

From the outside looking in it doesn't seem like bullying yet (although I'd class both Pauline and Helen as bullies) but to Jale who is in that confined space with no escape from the two of them it probably feels very much like it.

what I was trying to get across is that it's not like she feels completely alone I very much doubt, because she has people she can talk to, it's not like she's been cut off from everybody.

I think Jale is being bullied, but I do think that sometimes she's looking to be a victim.

jyunga 13-06-2014 01:29 AM

Pauline is definitely singling her out and targetting her. But I don't consider it bullying. I think it's part of the game for Pauline. She decided to go after Jale, she put her up and she's reenforcing having people keep Jale in a bad light so she'll go by acting all condescending to her.

iRyan 13-06-2014 02:07 AM

I'm tired of people throwing around the word bully every season.

fitz2k2 13-06-2014 03:34 AM

she is more then able to stand up and speak her mind - its building and thats just the tension - ie the point of the game.

Pauline Bennett has told Jale Karaturp that they should “not talk” after another row over chicken in the Big Brother 2014: Power Trip house.

The pair haven’t seen eye to eye since the weekend, when Jook took slightly more than her fair share of a batch of chicken soup that Pauline had made for the group.

The dance teacher has refused to forget what happened, even giving Jale her ‘killer nomination’ over the incident, claiming: “She doesn’t do anything at all but get to the kitchen, get something to eat and bog off again.”

Tensions between the pair bubbled over this morning while they were sat at the smoking area – alongside Chris, who made a hasty exit to avoid the bickering.

“I didn’t say to you, all the time, you gotta watch what you eat, I said to you once,” said Pauline. “Your response caused the problem. Not the fact that you were eating a lot, your response is what caused… you could ask anybody. A lot of people said ‘how bloody rude was she’?”

“That’s fine, they can maybe say it to my face aswell,” retorted Jale. “Again, this is kind of chinese whispers, I’m gonna take you on your face value. Other people that have had conversations with me, that’s not what I’ve heard, but again that’s fine.”

“When it came to the food, I wasn’t even rude to you, I said, ‘hold on, other people have got to get chicken’,” continued Pauline. “Personally, my response would have been, ‘do you need me to put some back’, or ‘sorry, I’ll make sure I don’t do it next time’. Do you know what you said?”

“No, because I felt like I was on the spot…” answered Jale.

“Of course you were on the spot, because people are gonna eat and if you take everything no-one’s gonna eat,” Pauline interrupted.

“I wasn’t expecting that kind of… I don’t want you to get worked up about it,” said Jale.

“I am worked up because I don’t like people accusing me of things I don’t do,” Pauline snapped. “At the end of the day, you have attributed me to several things.

“I’ve judged you on your VT, tick it off, no I didn’t. I said something negative about you, tick it off, I didn’t. It winds me up, what you’re gonna keep doing is accuse people of treating you a certain way when they haven’t, then they will treat you that way.”

“Me and you need to not talk,” concluded Pauline as she headed in to the bedroom.

Thanks to Pauline’s killer nomination, Jale will now face eviction every week she remains in the house, with Danielle and Tamara facing her in tomorrow night’s boot-out.

Helen previously voiced her distaste for the customer service advisor, saying: “She’s false as ******, I’m not even going to make an effort with her. She’s a massive game player, huge.”

Elsewhere, Pauline and Helen have also ganged up against Christopher, with the latter branding him an “annoying wasp” and a “two-faced ******”.

Big Brother continues tonight at 10.00pm on Channel 5.

Deliberately and repeatedly targeting someone in an aggressive manner with the obvious intention of intimating someone is definitely bullying. The fact that it is something that comes up a lot in relation to big brother is because a lot of it genuinely goes on in there.

Maybe the situation creates a 'lord of the flies' atmosphere that encourages people to act like that or maybe nasty, bullying type characters are chosen to take part, but one way or another it seems to go on a lot.

Kazanne 13-06-2014 10:08 AM

I don't know how BB can say a row erupted, lol more like Pauline just spouting her venom towards Jale, who couldn't get a word in and Pauline being the nasty cow she is went on to tell anyone in earshot that she wasn't talking to Jale again.

Mick 13-06-2014 10:14 AM

I don't think its bullying but it might be strategic.? Does Pauline see Jale as a threat RE The house mother role.

She keeps referring to the Chicken gate incident and is perhaps now using the Kitchen and food as her new power source.

Despite being up every week I can see Jale remaining in the house longer than Pauline as Jale is starting to connect with some of the other housemates in a positive way and possibly also the viewing and voting public.?

daniel-lewis-1985 13-06-2014 11:03 AM

No but she is being slightly segregated and that's down to Pauline. Cant believe Pauline was my fav I really dislike the woman now.

There has been nothing major that has happened to her to warrant the term bully, shes been bitched about yes but nothing over confrontational to make her feel bullied.

Unless she has said this herself I may have missed it.
