I don't know why people come out with the "Without this one housemate the show would be over/crap" etc.

ONE person doesn't have that much about them. It's all about the dynamic between the whole group. If Helen wasn't in there, it would be an entirely different scenario (possibly different housemate in her place?). If Jale wasn't there, it would be different again.

That's what happens after each eviction, things shift and the show changes. Some people are quieter and introverted around certain other personality types, without those other personality types they come into their own and begin to dominate.

Edit - This isn't me saying I want her pass revoked at the moment, just responding to a few points.

Look at BB6, most of the entertainers got to the second half of the series and it stayed great because of it, look at BB9 however when all the big characters was leaving before the second half of the series the series ended up dying a horrible death with one of the worst finals in BB history.

But, again, you're discussing two different series with two very different groups of housemates. Not to mention there is no universal definition of "entertaining".

BB6 was loved by a lot of people and let's face it that was because they was all controversial, even the dullards like Anthony and Eugene brought controversy.

BB9 however lost support because everyone that had a slight personality got voted out or had Nicole down their neck that cost them any chance of winning, and it also had the Ape, Kathreya, and Mohammed in the final week.

That's not really my point.

A few housemates with "no personality" (again, a personal opinion) in BB9 doesn't mean it's the same every season that the gobby ones are the only valuable ones.

Yes, BB6 thrived on almost every housemate being loud and brash. But, again, that doesn't mean only loud and brash can be entertaining.

Even in the series like 6 and 7 with the loudest group of people you always get a quieter last couple of weeks. The housemates are exhausted, ready for the end and everything's much calmer. There's no drama for the sake of drama, it's just the final push to the finish line.

I'm also going to assume Mock that the "Ape" comment isn't the racial slur I think it is.

I meant in the fact that he couldn't argue without going all hunchback wanting to knock people out.

MeMyselfAndI 21-06-2014 11:00 PM

She maybe dull and uninteresting but her bitchyness is the only thing keeping this series from sinking,Unless some more hm's go in stir things up a bit.Without Helen and Toya we're gonna have Chris and Jale sat smoking,Christopher moping around,Mark and Mathew talking bollocks about tea leaves and Ashleigh sat agreeing with everyone.Oh and Steven and Kim with their cryptic cock teasing.

I agree - it is time to remove Helens immunity, in fact I think it is long overdue.

Josy 29-06-2014 12:13 AM

That would just make the whole power twist a farce they already removed the killer nom for a week.....

Achilles 29-06-2014 02:48 AM

It would be very easy for Big Brother to change the public perception of Helen. For x amount of time show her being nice to people, mixed in with chats of regret and remorse. Show her having fun in the house and getting along a lot better with all the housemates. Then at the right time, they bring out the "tearjerker" card. Big Brother know how to manipulate the public.

The fact that they had to make sure that one particular housemate got given a free pass to the final within 24 hours of entering the house before even the first nominations could take place to ensure she would stay throughout the entire series made the whole thing a total farce so righting that blatant wrong is hardly going to make it any more of a farce!:nono:

Giving one person a pass to behave how she wants without the threat of any recourse makes a mockery of the whole point of Big Brother!

The playing field needs to be leveled and the only way to do that is to take away Helen's free pass and remove Jale's killer nom!

Ammi 29-06-2014 03:44 AM

..although I think it mocks the whole concept of Power Housemates to remove it for a week, I think they should now because they've already removed Jale's killer nomination so it's like with the 'power girls' thing that discriminates...it wouldn't be fair if they didn't remove it....

Razor 29-06-2014 01:20 PM

I would like to see her booted from the house, no eviction, no interview just gone from BB.

Kizzy 29-06-2014 01:30 PM

No they shouldn't, I do feel it's adding to the hatred of helen by some HMs danielle in particular who is really jealous though.
