They are not stupid in there...they must know she is on her final warning and know why she is being nice....you can't just pretend to be nice to someone for a week and expect all to be forgiven.

It could be that, but his excuse was what upset her as she saw it as an out and out lie that she hadn't 'opened up' as she had, and helen seems to me the sort of person that doesn't do that easily... Which could account for her feeling so personally offended, I think she genuinely saw chris (mas) as someone she could confide in and whom she had invested in emotionally and visa versa. |
