religionist is just a generic term, it does not imply extremism

A "religionist" is a fanatic, an extremist.

What was that you said about education? :smug:

Yes, sadly this faith myth is used like a badge of honour when really its no more than wishful thinking with your fingers jammed in your ears.

Funnily enough the Bible/koran always gets used as proof of this and that :joker:

the Qur'an states that humans were given eyes, ears and minds for a reason, that we must utilise them and investigate the truth. non-muslims and people who simply inherit their beliefs from their parents are invited to question, reflect and scrutinise the arguments presented by it.

for me its quicker than typing religious people

"a person adhering to a religion; especially : a religious zealot "

but not exclusively

So just call them "religious". It's more accurate. You don't have to add "people". :smug:

You don't want to come across uneducated. :smug:

Faith, that's what it's all about; believing something without having to have it proved. I've said this before but I'll give it another go... I've heard faith described thus: It's like being blind and flying a kite. You can't see the kite, but you can feel it pulling on the string.

Both sides of my family come from a Salvation Army background, and both sides still go to church now...but a more modern relaxed church with better music etc etc. I use to go up until about 17...usually only went to meet up with my mates there..then just gradually stopped going and became agnostic I guess

When I do good, I feel good. When I do bad, I feel bad. That's my religion.

I went to a C of E Primary school and prayed,Sang hymns and went to church events with school. However,I never believed a word of it and found it tedious.I still don't believe in the supernatural aspects of religion
I do find Judaism and Christianity fascinating however from a historical point of view,I've developed a really keen interest in ancient history and how these religions came about. Also the Egyptian gods fascinate me and how the really old religions of multiple gods developed into the monotheistic religions,Particularly Judaism which was the first known one.
