I'll never understand why people blame BB8 for the downfall of Big Brother when it came literally 6 months after the race row, and the real reason everyone turned on the show.

It is at least on par with 2, if not better than for the fact that there's actually some forward plot movement after Week 3 or so. People really need to let go of that nostalgia tbh.

And then 10 is literal garbage. The Marcus/Freddie/Siavash triumvirate is one of the worst ever, the Charlie/Rodrigo stuff is more tiring than anything, the first five weeks are a true non-BB12 low point of the franchise. I could go (and have gone) on and on. Hira and Lisa and David are everything, though.

Your BB10 opinions are exactly how I feel, lol. David Lisa and Hira <3 and Saffia/Sophia were promising too.

I mean I know this is all opinion and everything but... did wannashag read the poll right? :umm2:

Macie Lightfoot 21-07-2014 09:40 PM

omg Salman we're so *NSYNC because Sophia rounds out my top 4 <3

Shaun 21-07-2014 09:40 PM

I said, it's not a fact, it's an opinion. If someone else loves that series then they're not wrong either. How hard is that to understand?

Thank you Marsh :worship:

The racism started the decline but a decent series would've done wonders. Regardless of the race row I think BB8 was the first atrocious series of BB.

It was certainly the first time at that point that I hated the show. Even during BB4 I found things to enjoy.

Jordan. 21-07-2014 10:44 PM

BB11

Kizzy 21-07-2014 10:49 PM

4 it was such a let down, as each series was getting more interesting before then with a really diverse set of characters... and then that set of dullards landed :/

Gstar 21-07-2014 10:51 PM

BB11 and BB12. I only watched like two weeks of BB4 so can't really pick it

Me. I Am Salman 21-07-2014 10:55 PM

if BB4 didn't happen producers wouldn't have stepped up their game with BB5-7

Me. I Am Salman 21-07-2014 10:55 PM

anyway I'm conflicted between 11/12

But it would have been BB3 and maybe stepped up. :flutter:

Then we could have had BB1-7 getting better each time. The Golden Seven instead of 3.

Jordan. 21-07-2014 10:57 PM

BB12 can be excused since it was C5's first year and they made up for it with BB13

Macie Lightfoot 21-07-2014 11:01 PM

since WHEN is BB2 considered a step up from BB1 (unless we're not talking about how good the series actually is, but are talking about like success and viewing figures and whatever)

Marsh. 21-07-2014 11:02 PM

When someone has an opinion that differs from your own. :idc:

Amy Jade 21-07-2014 11:06 PM

11 for me, I stopped watching after Sunshine left and came back for 2 weeks until Corin went and then stopped watching until the final.

Marsh. 21-07-2014 11:06 PM

Corin. She should've won.

Some people clearly don't understand the purpose of a forum.

I suppose it was inevitable after the good run of 5-7 (well, I would say 3-7, but apparently that's debatable :p) that there'd be a bit of a downturn but I don't remember BB8 being all that bad? I still remember it being covered by all sorts of media publications (the whole Chiggy thing was all over Heat magazine and the like, do they even cover BB any more?) and it had pretty decent ratings. I mean it was a solid 1m up on BB9, for starters. (3.8m average vs. 2.8m)

And in terms of housemates/entertainment... pretty much everyone delivered in that cast (except Kara-Louise, Liam (the proto-Winston) and Jonathan).

Macie Lightfoot 22-07-2014 12:05 AM

KARA-LOUISE <333333333333

anyways, this whole notion of "omg you need to accept that people have different opinions" I think any opinion is valid if you can back it up? Sadly most posters here can't :(

 Yeah, the ratings were good and BB still got coverage in the media. But I thought it was pants.

People need to back up personal taste? :umm2:

It is what it is. If you ask specific questions about things then I'm sure anyone will answer.

Shaun 22-07-2014 12:06 AM

I just put her because I don't remember anything about her other than her hair :( X-Men Rogue teas.
