seemed crass and tasteless to me and unfunny as always with him....so what do disabled people think of the comment? imagine hed said its like a woman trying chase usain bolt? The radical feminazis at the BBc actually spent a lot of time and money on the run like a girl campaign recently? claiming the term is offensive to all women and damaging womens chances of playing sport?
we hear infinitely more about womens alleged oppression in this country (all lies) yet so very little about the disabled being oppressed if a group of kids were laughing at a kid in a wheelchair asking him to race the quick kids? at what point does that become tastless and offensive? what mark said wasnt the leats bit funny, he never is, he did actually single out a kid in a wheelchair, not discrimination but poor taste. |

Mark was making a comparison to someone who can't do the activity at all. Therefore, someone in a wheelchair can't run... at all. Stating the fact that someone who can't run.... can't run is not the same as sexist comments that women are crap runners. Jessica Ennis anyone? |

He said "This is like putting a man in a wheelchair in a sprint race with Usain Bolt".
No mention of kids and no mention of "wheeling the chair". Sprinting = running. I can't actually believe I'm explaining this. |
We've got some amazing paralympians, I think everyone would agree. And I'm sure the paralympian wheelchair racers themselves wouldn't hope to keep up with Bolt. Until someone who is disabled has a sense of humour failure over this, all the able-bodied angst is ridiculous.

He should have said Oscar pistorious!!
