Did you not see the final episode of Dexter? It was like 8 seasons of awesome, gearing up to a perfect ending, and then getting a red hot poker up the arse. It was one of the worst things that's ever happened on TV.

Spoiler:

Even if he had actually just sailed out to sea and been dead, or even left it ambiguous (body never found), it would still have been sort of lame but passable. But he became a lumberjack! A LUMBERJACK, Livia, it was ****ing stupid!!

Shut up you lot! I've not watched the last one yet and no way am I clicking on that spoiler.

Locke. 22-07-2014 02:21 PM

Not sure if this is suppose to be a positive thread or negative one... I'll go for negative.

Mystic Mock 22-07-2014 02:22 PM

Lol, I love the analogy.

I'm kidding... I'm afraid this whole thing passed me by. I might have to invest in the box sets.

You will not regret it.I promise.

Go on. I dare you. It describes literally the two last scenes. It could all be over... If you just click that spoiler tag...

The only thing I disagree with there is

Spoiler:

.........that Season 8 was good other than the last episode, it was terrible throughout imo. There was too many unnecessary storylines going on, the whole thing with his reformed psycho murdering g/f was stupid as well. Oh and also why the **** does he think leaving Harrison with another unrelated serial killer would be better than leaving him with his dad? She tried to kill his sister but he's trusting his son with her??? gggrrr oh oh oh and him taking Debs corpse out of the hospital passed everyone without a single person batting an eyelid???

Oh and one last thing Breaking Bad is the best TV series of all time. Perfection from start to more importantly, finish

Yaki da 22-07-2014 02:39 PM

I still think The Wire is better than all of them. But certain episodes of Cracker are the best television of all time.

I really like that pic of Ashleigh as Daenerys. Can you superimpose Chris's face on Jorah's body as well?

I tried the Wire but I couldn't get into it at all

No! Stop tempting me TS...

Awwww.... I'm going to be disappointed aren't I. Like I was when the last series of Homeland finished.

I'm definitely going to watch Breaking Bad. I started to watch it on a borrowed media player but the picture was awful for some reason. It's on my "to watch" list with Game of Thrones.

Very good choice, you have until October to be fully caught up.

I bought series 1 of 24 in a charity shop for for £2! Amazing... I was worn out by the end of it.

Have you seen Lilyhammer? I really liked that, it's got Steven Van Zandt in it. It's a weird concept but I really liked it.

user104658 22-07-2014 02:53 PM

I do think you'll like game of thrones though, you're quite politically minded andnits basically mainly modern politics but with swords and a couple of dragons. Not even that dragonny tbh. Less dragonny than Westminster.

Nedusa 22-07-2014 02:54 PM

Can anyone out there recommend "Game Of Thrones" , I've never watched it but am hearing good things about it.

Is it worth investing time watching all back episodes ?

Absolutely a yes, there's only 10 episodes per season as well so it won't take too long to catch up

It starts slow, but you appreciate the time it takes by the end of the first series. The guy who plays D'Angelo Barksdale is a superb actor imo.

Apparently everyone on here can recommend it, and it's just you and I who haven't seen it yet.

No what's that about?

A member of the New York Mafia (Steven Van Zandt) goes into Witness Protection and opts to go to Lilyhammer in Norway because he saw it on the Olympics. It sounds like an unlikely scenario, and it is... but it's good.

I tried to get Chris onto the Dothraki guy behind her, but it wasn't happening. His face is too big :joker:.

A Winston Dothraki would be quite good.
