I'm sure they told us repeatedly that they were immune. They did so in press releases and on BOTS didn't they?

But they asked us to vote for the PH without giving us these sort of details and letting us think that person would be immune like Chris was when he was voted PH.

I just don't know why fans of this show are defending them over and over this year.

They never really gave any details about the PH during that poll though, wasn't it actually worded like 'If the power returned who would you like to get it' or something like that?

Amy Jade 23-07-2014 12:44 AM

Did people have to pay for Ashleigh to be power housemate? I thought it was a free poll on a free app?

I don't have much sympathy anyway to be honest, Ashleigh fans who voted her to get power should have thought more about the negative effect it had on Toya.

No it was free and they definitely only worded it as a 'what if' too

Yes, but they did tell us afterwards they were all immune. Christ, Rylan was shocked when he found out on twitter. And as others have said, Emma looked fed up with it all tonight.

I thought so, again I find it hard to be sympathetic to those crying foul.

BB have said before the series even began power came at a price.

Yaki da 23-07-2014 01:44 AM

In response to Josy...

BB Spy tweeted this...

bbspy @bbspy · 4h

Verbatim quote from Channel 5 press release today: "All Housemates in the Alliance will be immune from eviction"

So people voted Ashleigh Power housemate. She was told she would be immune and be the most powerful PH yet and it was said on BOTS they were immune and the press release said they were immune. The BOTS presenter believed them to be immune.

Suddenly she's up for eviction. It's one thing to do twist after twist after twist... But they are now taking viewers/voters out of the eviction process and lying to them as well. Pathetic.

They said repeatedly that the power HMs were immune and gave out press releases saying the same thing.

They said Ashleigh would be the most powerful HM yet and people thought it might mean she could take Helen's free pass away.

Instead, she ends up for eviction. Farcical.

Kizzy 23-07-2014 01:49 AM

I know... it's odd when it was suggested I bet everyone went 'WE DO WHAT?!'

That was essentially Rylan's reaction on twitter. Emma seemed peeved about finding out about Kim on twitter as well (some people thought she was anyway)

Ah so basically the twist worked against you so it was a farce but had it worked in your favour it would have been fantastic.

I totally get it now.

reece(: 23-07-2014 01:54 AM

The producers manipulated the voters to get Matthew out.

No, I couldn't have cared less about Marlon but I thought that was farcical. As well as the way Danielle went out. And now you can add this to the list.

The fact is they first take the viewers vote out of the eviction process and then when they ask viewers to vote they just lie to them afterwards about what they voted for. They told us repeatedly on the show, BOTS and in press releases that they were immune.

I just can't fathom why people are defending this crap.

If international football can be rigged to benefit the corrupt, then Big Brother would be easy! BB is small-fry compared to football.
So yes, based on the information we have, I don't think its a stretch at all to assume Mathews eviction was arranged so that some rich bastards can get even richer!

spot on crocodile. Some people are very naive and actually believe that TV companies 'play by the rules' at all times. And when you look at the shambles of the production team on this series of BB.... well, it's obvious they have no morals of 'fair play' or even honesty. Totally dishonest, totally corrupt and all in the name of 'it's only a game, and the more 'twists' the better' - substitute 'twists' for 'lies'.

They are fools, because they treat us the public like fools.

And some people are very surprised at so much conspiracies surrounding the voting when the votes are regulated and the tv shows and channels would get into a massive amount of trouble for even thinking of tampering with the votes.

They seem to be digging bigger holes for themselves every week. You're assuming these people are sane.

Such bollocks.

THE PRODUCERS DON'T CARE WHO WINS!

It means nothing to them.

daniel-lewis-1985 23-07-2014 12:43 PM

Oh not this again it was weeks ago why bring it up again?

BB cannot afford to rig votes as it would cripple them as a Channel if they were caught, its fraud!

We've heard about this sort of stuff before. And though you might think people are all the more unlikely to do it because of what the fallout might be, I think these people are actually drugged up to their tits this year and don't know what they're doing.

I understand your frustration, and Ash also leapfrogged Toya after she started out as fave to go, then it was Ash for the final two days

The problem with the bookies is that they read this forum and others, and they dont take into account the people who watch the HL show, if they did, they would know that Toya was a nasty hated bitch and Matthew was a vile little scumbag with a posh accent who thought he was better than everyone else and aligned himself with *******igh, who forum users may love, but show watchers hate

Unfortunately she is up against Steven this week so will probably stay, but the good thing is, she is having a really hard time and hopefully when she gets home to her Mammy, she will realise that the big bad world is not for her and she should stay in Derry where she belongs

So its all good really!

Get a grip people ffs

Matthew was a non entity, you would not notice him if he were sitting beside you playing a bassoon, he's that dull

If youre gonna cry foul, then at least do it over an interesting HM

Yep, and what's the point. A non entity that you would not notice got evicted over someone who had anywhere between 60 and 70% of the vote on every online poll. That doesn't happen very often (it never happens actually)

You should get on the phone to OFCOM, they may make the producers bring back Matthew and Toya if their votes were fixed...............................NOT! lol

It would have been great if her fans paid to 'destroy her' but unfortunately it was a freebie vote

Great outcome though lol

Kazanne 23-07-2014 01:08 PM

Lolling at the outrage that Ashleigh is up for eviction again.
