People hating on Zoe are just jelly!

All she said is that she's got more life experience than people in boring normal jobs! Why should she deny it?
All that amazing talent, TV exposure, media experience, West End performances, mingling with famous people.... OF COURSE she'd find our lives sad and pathetic!

We work so we can eat... She works to bring light and joy into the world.

1. How on earth does she know what kind of life experience people with 'boring, normal' jobs have?

2. So she performs in the West End and at other various locations singing in musicals. That is not that impressive. She's hardly an ex-spice girl for example.

3. Light and joy? Seriously?

Working at Tesco ≠ Success
not to say those people can't be successful in the future but come on let's be honest and not settle.

Having said that, I have not seen the clip where Zoe said this.

Not quite. A different life experience is more apt. Not more.

Everybody in the world lives life in different ways, it doesn't make any of them have any less life experience, it's merely different.

I daresay there's a lot more people in non showbiz jobs that have more life experience than Zoe.

It's the implication that anyone in a job that doesn't involve fame and glitter is not living or has a life not worth living. Incredibly insulting and actually shows her lack of maturity, which questions her so-called life experience.

I really would not be surprised at this.

I'm a bit surprised at some of the people criticising Zoe's comments seem to love Chris's snobbish diary room attitude.

Bedouin 27-07-2014 03:21 AM

'experience' is a bad word to use.
Everyone has their own experience of life.
'capital' would be more apt.
Capital is something that is earned and not quite as inherent as experience.

I had to google Tesco as I'm not familiar with it. It's a big grocery store in the UK, yes? So she can't relate to every day average Joe Blows? That's a bit rude. I just had this conversation with my husband the other day - every single person with a job plays a part in society. Whether it be the people cooking at McDonalds, those who pump gas, those who save lives, those who invent...every one plays a role and every role is important. No one should look down their nose at anyone, we're all important.

when she comes out i think the song should be

Zoe is turning into a right little madam, her speech to Pav on eviction morning about how she wasn't nervous as she had had opening nights in front of important people and press just shows how far above everyone else she thinks she is, she probably is annoyed she isn't in CBB really.

Fendertele 27-07-2014 09:59 AM

I bet she has a 'Bar Code' tattoo, on her body.....and BOGOF.....

Kizzy 27-07-2014 10:00 AM

I think she really let herself down by making this comment. Working in West End musicals may be a somewhat transient occupation. This time next year she may have to get a job in Tescos because her work has dried up. She might have more job security working there…

Just a thought.

How sickly was that ? :yuk: she's so far up her own arse she never sees daylight

sampvt 27-07-2014 11:12 AM

In think Zoe feels that these underlings on the show should be grateful she is there and she wants them to treat her as one of them even though she knows in her own mind she isn't one of them, she is far superior. If she was in CBB she wouldn't be acting like this, she would be the one in the corner over whelmed with being a small fish in a big pond. Personally I don't think she means to be nasty or condescending, she is just a little deluded and actually thinks her stardom affords her the luxury of being treated as someone special.

Her air of confidence is her biggest downfall, she is too full of her own importance, sadly she doesn't know that the public don't care nor do they even think of her as special. The thing that gets my wick with her is her constant referrals to the fact that everyone loves her, NEWSFLASH, life isn't that easy, your game is transparent and designed to fail.

Beastie 27-07-2014 01:07 PM

A supermarket worker better be on the show next year. I am sick of these "generic, polished" looking housemates!

I'm surprised Pav managed to listen to her 'me me me' speech without rolling his eyes. Does she ever talk about anything but herself?
