Suffolk had quite a lot of snow over the past few days.

Sunny today though and it seems to be melting a bit.

Anybody build any snowmen?!

I kids who live next door to me did.

Even though most of the snow has melted the snowman is still sitting incongruosly in the middle of the green outside my house. He looks rather lonely and forlorn now.

It's OK, Amy - it's stopped again!

VERY cold tonight, so no sign of it disappearing in the near future.

More forecast for tomorrow too.

Please NO SNOW until Wednesday.

I like snow and you can have loads from Wednesday, but on Tuesday I have to get up early to pick a client up from the other side of London at 6:30am and then drive to Norwich.

Snow would not be good. :nono:

:flower:

PS: Sticks, you look really stern in your new avatar.

Romantic Old Bird 02-02-2003 08:58 PM

Guess what, I can't believe this, but yes, you've guessed it, we've had snow. Not a lot, but it's there stuck to the ground, only a shower, but we'll see if we get any more. Hope they've got those gritters out tonight.:elephant::spin2:

:spin:

Mairi 03-02-2003 07:19 PM

We had a flurry of snow this morning which was extremely pretty to watch but it disappeared almost immediately, the sun came out and it turned into a lovely spring day again.

:hello:

LEE 03-02-2003 07:27 PM

Please please please please please NO SNOW overnight.

I've got to go out before 6am to drive to Norwich, and snow would not be fun. http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmili.../shakehead.gif

Janette 03-02-2003 08:25 PM

We've had 3 inches in as many hours this evening. Where I work the road has been closed because it's on a hill and the cars simply can't get up there!

I think I'll be up at 6 in the morning, walking to work!!!!!

:bawling:

Kaz 03-02-2003 08:41 PM

Well, after a promising forecast for today . . . . . absolutely nothing! :bawling:

Although it's been so cold that none of the existing snow has melted, and the pavements are like a skating rink because the dear Council haven't been round and gritted them yet!

Fingers crossed for you, LEE - if it has to snow it can do it up here - I can walk to work!!

P.S. I thought Goodfellas was a type of pizza.

Maggie 04-02-2003 09:16 AM

About 2 inches here and no gritters, all done by contracters now and they never do our road :conf: :conf: :conf:

steve_o 04-02-2003 04:18 PM

I can just imagine another £50.00 on the car insurance premiums this year, because of all the accidents caused by cars sliding into each other on snowy roads. It's not fair.:bawling::conf:

BigSister 04-02-2003 04:45 PM

WE had snow yesterday and today

School has been terribe its been really icy

WILDCHILD 04-02-2003 04:48 PM

It really does take the piddles. Now snow but stupid ice which takes forever to get off the car windows.
Snow never lays in Plymouth - NOT FAIR!!!:bawling::bawling::bawling:

LEE 04-02-2003 05:31 PM

Well, I'm just back from Norwich and thankfully had a snow-free journey.

It didn't snow at all here overnight. It was VERY cold, but no snow.

While in Norwich it did snow briefly, but only for about an hour and as it was quite sunny afterwards, it melted, didn't stick and we had a good journey back down the M11 as well.

I haven't got another long journey until next Tuesday now so it can snow all it wants over the next few days.
