Everything they do in there is considered a game plan whether done consciously or subconsciously.

Reading into it abit much I think, she seems like a decent person - scrounging aside.

Hated every single member of Benefits Street but I think she is quite a nice person at times. Pains me to say that, she's changed my opinions on her quite a bit.

I think she's interesting but quite often the "Miss Humanity" character is a bore, and she is no exception.

Heaven = Winner 24-08-2014 01:20 AM

Yeah, Dee's not playing a gameplan. She seems really genuine tbh.

Razor 24-08-2014 09:43 AM

Why would she want to be enemies with anyone. Surely it's best to be friendly than not?

rusticgal 24-08-2014 10:07 AM

She seems a nice enough person...but she is a nosy oik who wants to be involved in everybody's business. Lauren was talking to Kellie and Dee should have left them to it...but she didn't want to be left out...she didn't want Lauren taking her role and she wanted to know the 'gossip' and play the 'Saint'.
I watched Benefit street...or 2 episodes because it wound me up too much...I would have had more respect for her had she put her day to good use...perhaps as a volunteer..instead of sitting on her doorstep all day smoking fags and drinking coffee and doing ******* all, receiving benefits at our expense.
She can be as nice as she likes in there and she obviously has a nice side to her but that at the end of the day she is just a lazy scrounger.

lostalex 24-08-2014 10:08 AM

Who? She's not spoken up lately, at least not from what we've seen. She seems content to just be a face in the background. Which must drive the Daily Mail readers crazy, i'm sure they were expecting her to be a trashy mess. I'm sure the BB producers expected her to be that too.

I am waiting to see if she gives her empathy to Gary with his hearing problem, she is just joining in with the others and their remarks. It is easy to appear caring but sometimes it is for ones own benefit in a way saying "hey guys look at me". She wants to be the centre of attraction with the younger ones. I havent taken to her at all and am very wary of her.

It was suggested that she shouldnt go to Kellie as someone was already there, why didnt she just leave it? Kellie has to sort her ownself out and sometimes others interfering just makes matters worse. Sorry she isnt my cup of tea at all. Hope she leaves early.

Ask the other residents on 'Benefits Street' then we will know...she's OK, but I think there's more to it than just being 'nice'...I wonder how much she will donate to help her hard up friends on benefits street, or has she moved on from them....She must pinch herself everyday and think what a jammy ----er she is...

In Britain we don't do nice and civil-Jamesisms.

FAKE!

They lived on the same street but she's not responsible for them. But she did say though that people she cared about have given her the cold shoulder because of her fame so maybe they'll guilt trip her into sharing.

I liked 50p man and the model mother. They were both trying.

If it was in America 50p man would have had fame by now.

But if you watched Benefits Street, she came across like she was responsible for them, she used to keep hold of Funguy's money and give it to him a bit at a time....she would make sure people went to meetings, she used to deal with all their problems with the benefits office etc, she was very involved from where I'm sitting....they all went to her, her house was an open door.... so I would say she acted like she was the Mother of the street...

Kazanne 24-08-2014 11:13 AM

Dee's a funny one for me,although I don't dislike her,I found her ethics on work sadly lacking on Benefits street, even encouraging her kids to follow suit, and some of the dodgy stuff I've heard about doesn't sit well, but in BB she seems nice enough, but I'll wait a bit and see how she comes over.

I always found that a bit dodgy. I sometimes felt like she was scamming them somehow.

not a fan of dee, however, give credit where credit is due. if she had not broke the fight up, things could have got nasty. all the others just sitting there, shame on them:wavey:

yes, it will be interesting to see if she does 'help' her old mates out. would be interesting to see, if she is still living at her old address, I will be surprised if she is :cheer2: ps. wonder also if she gave any of the £13,000 she stole to help her mates out :nono:

Nell_McCoy 24-08-2014 11:38 AM

I think Dee is my favourite HM I saw her on Benefits Street and to me like many other posters here she is exactly the same. She is kind, generous, caring but also probably a bit controlling with the ability to manipulate both for good and bad motives. She is the only person in that house who I would even consider having as a friend, but she reminds me very much of an old friend of mine who loved being your friend when things were going bad for you but resented it when you were doing well - the opposite of a fair weather friend I suppose. The type of person who NEEDS to feel they are helping you, but if you don't need or want that help it removes their raison d'etre and they resent it. We shall see if she does have a side like this, because it will come out if she does.

Tarryn 24-08-2014 11:40 AM

I've never seen the show she is on, so I can only go by what I've seen on BB but she seems like a nice person. And she get's on with everyone.
Why do so many on here dislike her ?, is she nasty on the show she is on ?

armand.kay 24-08-2014 11:44 AM

Even if it's a game plan she's still being pleasant so I don't see whats wrong with that.

Exactly...they deserve more. The 50p man at least was trying to make a living rather than sit on his arse all day smoking and drinking coffee.

If we judge her on what we see on CBB we can only really like her. She will take on the motherly role like she did in her street.
However as you said her work ethics are disgusting. I am a nice person, I like helping people and being there for them but if I sat on my arse all day smoking cigarettes at 10.00 a packet and happy to live on state handouts paid by hard working people like you and I...I would have no self respect.
Dee has no shame...famous for being a lazy scrounger...I would be ashamed. She has had holidays off the back of it and now made a nice amount of money by being on CBB.
She may be 'nice' but underneath she is a lazy money grabbing human being with no morals or decency. She can be mother Theresa in the house but she won't get my vote...only when it comes to evict.
