Either BB adapts tasks so everyone can do them or it is accepted that there are reasons why people can't do them. The public can decide whether they think it's genuine or not by voting.

Im not saying that ,but if he's not upto it and is not going to take part he shouldn't have entered

Has there ever been a housemate in a wheelchair?

So you are saying that people with disabilities who may not (and not know in advance whether or not they can) do some of the tasks that BB sets should never apply?

He was up to the first task - he has been up to living in the house so far - or are you saying he hasn't been?

I don't really understand your point sorry.

Does that mean there shouldn't be one?

Vicky. 23-08-2014 12:35 PM

He should never have been put there to be quite honest.

And in celeb shows there usually is a couple exempt from tasks for medical reasons..I dont really see the big deal. If it was EVERY task then fair enough, but he did the eating challenge thing no problem and I would bet he does the rest of them too...

There should be!

Gary is entertaining anyway...

..pick 2 animals...
...do you know what TEAM stands for?...
...Orgy?
... e-Gel?
...Who are you?... (your X girlfriend)
... eggs from an interplanetary goose...

The task wasn't entertaining. The task doesn't matter.

Yeah but this isn't a thread on whether or not we like his character, it's on whether or not him/frenchy should be sleeping out there.

My point is that sleeping out there isn't as important as being entertaining.

He has taken part with vigour, look at his advertising theme, it was brilliant. I have no doubt that he will take part in other tasks. It is wrong to expect anyone to sleep outside if they are not up to it. Other older HMs have been let off of tasks for medical reasons. He has as much right to be in there as anyone else. A lot of the public want something other than the frivolity of the younger generation with too much, whats that word, cant spell it :cheer2::laugh:

We need more entertainment and Gary can teach the younger ones a lot.

this, he shouldn't have even been allowed to enter the house if he's unable to take part in simple tasks like this as it's unfair on the others.

Why is he in the house if he has medical reasons?

Thank god for that, Channel 5 is coming to their senses. It's still unfair to leave Frenchy out there though, she should be allowed inside to sleep as well.

He should have been exempt from it and it's shameful that nobody pushed forward and said No or NON and told Leslie in no uncertain terms that it was wrong to put a 70yr old man outside, especially one that has suffered brain damage.

I hear what you say that there were some feeble attempts to protest with Leslie, but if they had had any balls they would have stood up and said " No way, I am going in there instead" Simples.

It also reflects badly on the little prima donna, nasty piece of work under that charming exterior.

Gary isn't the only hm to be excused from tasks due to medical reasons, there's been plenty in the past.

Because everyone in this world is not young, strong and healthy. Having a disability or being old should not exclude people from participating as well as they can in any walk of life including BB. We will all become old and ill eventually. It may seem very far away to you but it comes to us all some day.

Vanessa 23-08-2014 02:35 PM

There's plenty he can still do. Just not sleep outside in the clod.

If you're really interested why don't you use google and find out why it isn't a good idea for people who have been through the kind of surgery Gary has to sleep outdoors in a cold environment!
I thought it would have been pretty obvious to most people, common sense, but i guess not judging by your 'question'.

He's taken part fully with everything and he will take part in the scrap heap crap other than actually sleeping out there. It's really not a big deal.

Mitchell 23-08-2014 03:45 PM

I think Gary said he had back fracture? If so that's understandable surely?

reece(: 23-08-2014 03:47 PM

Is he still nominated?

What ?:shocked: how could he have lost both lungs and still be here :joker:

CaudleHalbard 23-08-2014 03:52 PM

I think it's about time Gary left CBB. Brain damaged and deaf, he is really completely unsuited to that environment.

A bad decision on the part of those who run the show, IMO.

Perhaps he should be given the option of leaving with a pro-rata fee based on how long he's spent in the house. I think that would be fair. :)
