Is that you Mark? How's your tea leaves? :hehe:

Lets not turn this into an argument.

Ok, if he says he is a diabetic (and I believe him) then BB should have made arragements for Leslie to have something to eat evey so many hours in the DR to keep his blood levels flowing (or whatever it is to keep him safe). The food is for all the HMs and not just Leslie so BB should provide the inbetween moments when he needs extra. And by the way I don't think Dee was joking, she has a nasty streak and we have seen how she has forced (see I didn't use the word bully) people into doing what she feels they should do it on Benefits Street. Her attitude was all wrong and she wasn't talking to Fungi. she was talking to (or shouting at) a man with credibility and who has worked all his life and, just to add, I am not a fan of Leslie.

Dee's mother came out of her mouth. Her mom must have been strict about eating up her dinner. It's funny but you can't tell.

puzzled 29-08-2014 12:50 AM

It sure didn't look like joking to me.

she wasnt, she was aggressive, she was shouting, she looked angry and tried to control him when he was clearly feeling upset and poorly with his diabetes.....maybe adele should have told her to say ha ha

bots 29-08-2014 01:15 AM

Didn't look like she was joking to me either. Frenchy and Gary are the only ones I can tolerate watching anymore - crazy house

On the subject of Leslie, I don't think he is diabetic or he would have said that rather than talking about blood sugar levels. Its an obsession in some quarters that blood sugar affects your energy levels, its nothing more than feeling better after morning coffee or afternoon tea.

warrenhill 29-08-2014 05:58 AM

If she was joking maybe she should have finished with a ..HaHa....

Because i didnt get it....:nono:

It's excruciating, this place is fun most of the time, but things like this just take the enjoyment out of it sometimes

Its the worn out "bully" card that pisses me off, so boring every single series :bored:

Dee *shouted* at Leslie in that weird humerous way.

No way is Leslie a diabetic, BB would never be so stupid to put him on a diet of high carbs only as they do on basic rations.

He sounds more like one of those people that moan about low sugar levels if they don't eat.
Considering the lack of any excercise in there I would be surprised if his sugar levels got chance to drop:laugh:

Even diabetics don't need to eat every 2 hours

Depends Chuff.
A piece of fruit or a yoghurt etc is good between your meals to keep you going.
But no way would a diabetic be allowed on all those carbs.
Plus, he would need to keep to more regular meal times, for his meds as much as anything.

Ha,must depend where you live or what the nurse feels like telling you chuff.
3 decent meals a day, and 2 small snacks if needed. I wonder if it depends on when you take your insulin, I take mine last thing at night my brother has always taken his after meals etc.
Where I go really wrong is the 5 a day...I go for 5 fruit, me bad.

There is no way Leslie could eat all that rice and pasta, and at all hours of the day.

jaxie 29-08-2014 08:23 AM

I'm finding it hard to see where some people are claiming joke. She was red in the face and shouting and I'm still waiting on the punchline.

Im type 2 so take tablets not insulin

Tip 29-08-2014 08:44 AM

I'll watch it again later but on first watching of it, it didn't look like Dee was joking to me, it did look like she was venting frustration and anger.

Not that I couldn't understand if she did joke about it - but it seemed pretty genuinely aggressive on first viewing.

Dee's not acting any more, she's showing us her real personality now - loud, uncouth, rude etc. just as she was portrayed on that other reality show she's known for. You know what they say about leopards and spots - I had hoped she was different!:conf:

Type 2 also, take tablets and insulin.

I don't know exactly how to describe Dee telling Leslie to get his food.
Joking, but not in a funny haha way.
That type of rallying round way.
Not like me to be at a loss of words to describe something clearly :joker:
