I don't have a problem with anyone stating he is acting the old man my points were, he is an old man so I find it a bit pointless to say he is acting one.

That's fine, my gran would call Gary middle-aged as she is now in her 90s lol.

I'm not talking physical things so much. Gary has excused the fact that he is 70 to explain why he needs to be told things that may seem obvious to others, and why he doesn't find it easy to change and he is trying to learn. As I said, he could have used the brain surgery thing too (may have and I missed it)

I'm not convinced that Gary isn't learning things extremely quickly but playing people because he sees exactly how to wind them up and make them look bad. If he is doing that, good on him.

He's highly intelligent and well read, he knows how reality shows work, he is an actor, balanced against having had brain surgery and being 70 years old.

We just don't know.

If he actually pulled it off(which i don't believe he could),I would have to applaud his acting abilities.

I noticed how her also saying that he was a player that knew how to play the old man was conveniently not mentioned, avoided from being said on the other thread

yet she said that too

ofcourse he knows how to play a part play up to it for the sympathy vote he's a hollywood actor for goodness sake he's fooled most who've been backing him all along

If you actually watched the show you would have seen that Gary has not played up to the 'old man' image, he always says he is fine when others ask if he is okay. He has never said unpleasant things, although entitled, to or about others who have given him a hard time. He has never played the sympathy card.

It is the public who have rightly pointed out how housemates have failed to take into account his age and certain health conditions, leading to misunderstandings, in thier harsh judgement and treatment of him.

jaxie 07-09-2014 10:43 AM

My son really wants Gary to come out hobbling like Gene Wilder in Charlie and the chocolate factory, do a somersault and laugh. Would be awesome but I think the truth is a mix of Gary having some health issues and people underestimating him. I think he does exhibit some delightful eccentricity that can possibly be attributed to his brain damage as can forgetting to shower. I think all the poo on the hands stuff is paranoia from someone who perceives him as dirty and exaggerates. Many accidentally or otyherwise pee on the toilet seat so he isnt alone if in fact it was him and not one of the other male housemates having a dribble. I think he is spritely for seventy but he is still seventy. I think he has trouble hearing, more in some situations than others, and he probably has some balance problems due to his hearing. Going on what I have seen he is often completely misinterpreted by the housemates and some of their fans. Shame on them really.

We don't care if he is playing a game or not. We like him. We like how he has handled the situation he is in. We don't like the way other housemates behave towards and about him. Get s life and stop trying to force others to your point of view with constant anti Gary threads.

Re: Kellie said Gary was the biggest player in the house & knows how to play the old

Well then if that's the case, then Gary is playing it better than Kellie did, as Gary is still in there, and Kellie is not :D BB is a game. Kellie is a sore loser just because her gameplan came to nowt :joker:

You said on another thread it was wrong to slate someone because of their appearance but here you are questioning someones disability. You aren't a doctor or specialist. Stop the double standards it's uncool.

Many would love to think he has fooled us but he hasnt!! Who said he was an "old" man, Kellie is 63!!! She played the part of needing sympathy. The word "old" should be taken out it is ageism and the HMs have fallen for the 7 and the 0 instead of looking further. I have no doubt they were told he had had brain surgery so what do they look for a doddery "old" person who should possibly be in an OAP home. Dee "I am not your carer", Ricci "I wouldnt want you as an example for my kids" George "I didnt come in here to babysit". Well George you may as well because you made your living (which I have never ever seen) sat on a couch and now your mama and papa are out of jobs.

Heaven forbid how old is Dee, acting like a youngster, she has a boyfriend but loves to think of herself as young, she isnt. How old are the others, I believe the youngest is Lauren, yep she is still peeing in the pool, getting drunk and falling on another HM waking him up. I guess that was an accident we will let her have that one but much has been made about Gary pushing her?

We have James still trying to trot the outdated version of youth, trying to fit in with and to stand up to the likes of Audley and thinking he has the better of Gary. "He has to earn my respect" oh boy what a toy......

Gary does not have the sympathy vote, he has the vote because of the way he has handled everything which has been thrown at him from day one. He was told in the beginning that everyone hated him, another time, he had upset everyone. He has apologised numerous times, has anyone ever apologised to him? It cuts both ways. What are the others doing and what have they done? The mind surely boggles.

faking a disability? err...I'm sorry but this is rubbish. He has been diagnosed with hearing problems hence the hearing aid - no faking about it. What else has he faked while we're at it? The brain damage - maybe he bribed the brain surgeon to carry out a needless operation on him. Perhaps he faked his own recovery, pretending to have to walk and talk again just so that years later he could come on a reality TV show and con the audience.

Congratulations for winning the award for the most ludicrous conspiracy theory in history.

Aw bless her 90. My parents were 82 when I lost them one after the other but they were still out dancing and enjoying themselves. As we get older we accept each stage and become that which we want to. Love to your Gran.

Liam, I think you are sailing very close to the wind with some comments of which you have no proof of whatsoever. I realise you can't stand, maybe even hate Gary, but he is just a harmless Celeb playing the BB game as best he can, and imho being very entertaining. Surely you can cut him a little bit of slack now and again.

If you read my other posts, you'd realise that what you just quoted was part of a theoretical conversation between me and someone else which stemmed from someone else saying he could be playing a massive game, in my original post which you obviously ignored i even stated 'This is theoretical, i know he is deaf, i'm just using this as an example' so please do your research before you start having a pop at someone, get off your high horse love, it's boring :idc:

Same reply to you as what i wrote above..only i'll add that i have said on multiple occasions that i don't dislike Gary, i find him interesting to watch, but i'm not one of these people who pander to everything he says, but no i don't hate him.

Theoretical? Convenient. I have a cat I don't think she's like me to ride her.

Yes theoretical.. and your cat probably wouldn't like to be ridden by you, cats are not meant for riding, i don't see your point?

It was a touch of humour, you didn't get it.

I don't understand these accusations of Gary playing a game.

Are people saying that just because he doesn't react badly to being bullied then he is playing a game? Perhaps he is just chilled out and forgiving.

Oh I don't know. I think when so many anti threads, like the Gary ones pop up, then the more I am inclined to believe that that housemate is perceived as a serious threat to other favourites :) Gives me hope that a housmate such as Gary has a good chance of winning then :)

Pincho Paxton 07-09-2014 01:36 PM

Damn it took Gary 70 years of acting skills to learn how to play an old man. If only he had learned this when he was 20.

Kellie didn't go to school, anything she says is based around low intelligence.
