It isn't right or left wing to want to defend your fellow citizens from danger and terrorism.
In the end it isn't always down to the best way of achieving something but left unchecked too long there comes a time where you can be left with an only way.

I feel we are desperately close to that now.
I am not in possession of intelligence obviously as to where these people may all be or what is known as to who they are but whatever is known needs to be acted on and the time is now, not after another near 18 months of 'talking shops' when more and more innocent people are murdered.

I did love the JoeyEssex post, got me smiling that one from Scott.:joker:

I 100% agree with you Joey.

And to Arista people do tend to change some of their policies as they get older, I know that I probably will.

Actually it appears we both have Mock already,I recall when I first joined here, both you and I were far more in favour of the Conservative party.
I had my concerns as to some of their areas of policy but like you, largely supported this coalition hoping for a great deal more from it.

Maybe like me you have come across and seen the injustice of a lot of their social policies and how they impact on vulnerable people, also how incompetent this current PM is too.
So much so that you have also seemed to have turned from this Govt. as I have.

That's exactly it Joey, but I don't want to go back to Labour either so I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place lol.

I cannot really help you there as it has to be your decision what you do if you vote.

Like I was, you are coming up for your first General election vote next year,I was hoodwinked by the Lib Dems and wasted my first vote on them so never again there for me.

It depends really how much someone will want to see this Govt out of office and not allowed to continue with it's heartless policies, especiallytoo if the Conservative party were to succeed in getting an overall majority.

I have made my decision that I want both of the parties in this coalition out completely next time.
If I lived in Scotland I would lean to the SNP but I won't risk voting for any party next time that has no chance of beating this coalition and were I to vote for them,I could then be helping this coalition or the Conservatives back in.
So I know where my vote is going with the hope of some compassion and social justice for those who need it and also for the solid future of the NHS.

This thread 'joked' I had gone right wing, far from it, this lot are pushing me further and further to the left after seeing the heartlessness of this lots policies.

Good luck in your decision Mock, you have a good few months yet to make your mind up.
I hope when you do cast your first general election vote, whoever gets your vote, that you will however end up feeling afterwards a lot more more content than I did after wasting mine on the Lib Dems after their misleading campaign in 2010.
