The SNP say they want to spend Scotland's share of the BBC license fee - £320 million a year - on some Scottish Broadcasting Service with a TV channel, a Gaelic channel and a radio station or something like that.

£320 million isn't much though - Channel 5's programming budget is £200 million and C4's is £600 million a year.

Basically this new Scottish channel would be really cheap and not very good.
