If they where to be allowed what I don't mind then it should only start from the day they have been allowed or there will be members with like 200k+ etc

T* 28-09-2014 03:53 PM

I mean- We keep the forum active during off season in C&G, so shouldn't we be getting it as sort of like a thank you? Without us chatting, playing forum games etc. This forum would be dead during off season, with an odd bb rumour every month or so.

They aren't and I'm not really bothered but it's just the fact the count is inaccurate that I find frustrating because it's just silly. It's like having a pedometer and saying 'well I'm going to discount the steps I made up and down the stairs today cause they don't really matter'...well they're steps and it's counting how many steps you make in a day so yes they do. A post count is counting the number of times you have made a post on a forum, just because certain sections are excluded it doesn't mean they're not posts

It's illogical to have an inaccurate count of something

I've been here 5 years (3, if you don't count the 2 years I was banned for) and I only have 4,000 odd posts. I contribute a lot to C&G, and theres rarely a day where I don't check in on TiBB.

I guess that's true, I don't really care either way anyhow.

My point being that we're allowed to have conversations without trying to begin arguments every other five minutes

If C&G posts go towards the post count, won't that encourage newbies to sign up to games during off season more? I mean, going off previous experience, they'd probably be welcomed more into it if they had 2,000 posts rather than 200 (if that makes sense :umm2:)

If we don't count the Mod's votes, The Yes vote has more than double the amount than the No votes :amazed: keep it going guys!

The poll is meaningless tho unless mods have actually agreed to make the decision based on the poll

Nope, 46k is sad enough as it is, don't want to be up there with the even sadder bastards on over 50k

A post count is a measure of the number of posts you have made on a forum, if you're going to display a post count then discounting certain sections of the forum means the figure isn't accurate...so it's not a post count, is it? Might as well just get rid of it

I don't think it would increase spamming as seems to be claimed (and is the reason behind it) but if it did then just ban those people? Spamming is already against the rules after all

I mean either have a post count properly or don't have one at all

totally agree with this.

Just because you have many posts doesn't mean anyone else shouldn't

Marc 28-09-2014 04:19 PM

No cos '.'

shouldn't count

MTVN 28-09-2014 04:20 PM

Locke is right, we all have too many posts as it is

Marc 28-09-2014 04:22 PM

Also the top ten posters with C&G posts included as pretty much the same as the top ten on the members list

Firewire 28-09-2014 04:22 PM

post counts are pointless

No, that's not what I mean, from the date the posts do count, not all the previous c&g posts added
