It has been claimed that a contentious 72-hour rule will enable Gemma to collect her hefty appearance fee - despite making an early exit.

While her I'm A Celeb fee remains undisclosed, it is believed to exceed the £15,000 she reportedly earned for a brief appearance on Tom Daley's diving show Splash in 2013.

Gemma Collins' shock departure from I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here! prompted confusion on Wednesday afternoon as it emerged she was booked to make an appearance at the imminent Plus Size Awards BEFORE entering the Australian jungle.

According to the event's official website the 33-year-old TOWIE star is guest presenter at the star-studded show, which takes place at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London, on Saturday evening.

Gemma is thought to be joining TV personality Matt Johnson at the ceremony after last year's host, presenter Jeff Brazier, was forced to step down.
