Yeah..dont do it

They hold your money for ages. And always take the buyers side in disputes..even if you have tracking info and such

Clear pics, good description, reasonable p & p and as obvious as it is, make sure what you're selling is listed in the right section. Also, make sure you auction ends around 8pm as most bidding happens in the evening.

Good luck

yes

start everything at 99p

its the number one mistake people make, they dont understand the scale of the market and thuink they will lose out, they wont. 99p gets bids in and bids mean higher prices.

take at least 4 good qual pics, list the title in capitals and make sure you say exactly what it is, get the right place to put it (important). make it end at 9.15pm and not on an hour (too much competition). Do it for 7 days. List all faults.

Ah, that doesn't sound good :/ I'm really new so worried I won't have the feedback to attract anyone to bid, what if someone with no feedback bids, is it just pot luck they pay then?

It would be very unlikely. Everyone starts at zero so its no biggie. What are you thinking of selling?

Kizzy 12-01-2015 01:06 PM

Thanks annie and LT, 99P! what if they go for that he'll be mortified :worry:

Great advice about the time I noticed the one thing I had a lot of views and watchers yeterday evening, and lots of pics are a great idea too.

Well you will need very good pics for the furniture. I would take it outside on a sunny day and take pics on the grass. Games are a cinch to sell but make sure the discs are playable and scratch free.

Outside? I'll put a lamp and a bowl of fruit on it maybe but not dragging it outside
Yes they are, he's good at looking after them now and I don't want bad feedback.

Vicky. 12-01-2015 01:20 PM

You can put a reserve on auctions..if you are scared of it going for 2 quid

Bad feedback is 99% of the time about the mail service or from a foreigner (sadly)

its rarely deserved

Agree with this.

If you are selling furniture do it as cash on collection to avoid paypal fees.

I actually am, I've done up this furniture and it looks really nice now, I don't want to get ripped off or I'm liable to throw it at them when they come to collect
