her body is awful, all pointy and saggy in bits..her nose as well omg, the woman needs to stop pointing at gingers etc with a beak like that...and she's probably 53 in real life.

And the world would be an extremely boring place if these kinds of personalities didn't exist, it works both ways. I think it's actually very refreshing and admirable to see somebody with a careless attitude who has basically no limits when it comes to honesty. It's not always a bad thing. I'm sure she could be a nightmare to live with, but since we're watching her and not inside the house, I'll happily take that.

I would respect Katie and her views if her views were actually natural. But they're not, she purposely says controversial things, while some of her thoughts will be true most of it is put on so she can continue to get media coverage and money from it. Hard to respect someone who is fake in that kind of way.

Sure we all have different personalities and Katie is a rude, vile ****, unfortunately there will always be ***** in the world, this whole thing of "oh look how refreshing her honesty is" is complete bull**** tbh, if that logic was applied to the real world I don't think you'd be saying the same thing. You think it'd be ok in school for example for one kid to call another a disgusting fat pig because "they're just being honest"? Or in the work place, one employee calling another an ugly bitch cos she has red hair? No, that would be bullying, what Katie is doing is exactly the same but on a different platform

Who is anyone to actually question her views and opinions though? Do I think she exaggerates at times? Possibly, but I have no reason to doubt anything she says. I also don't think all of her views and outlook on life are always that 'controversial', it's more saying what others are too afraid to publicize.

come on, she is forced to be brutal and controversial because that's what sells mags etc..do you honestly believe she really thinks all that stuff about gingers and that?

I think you've taken this a little out of context - I don't think she randomly goes around saying people are ugly, fat or disrespecting anybody. From what I can see she is simply voicing her opinions (she doesn't find red hair attractive, she thinks tattoos are awful, she thinks unemployed people are lazy) but people only take offense because she is extremely vocal about it. Also, judging by her fat story, she wants people to be aware of their size and help them do something about it before it goes too far (in the case of children especially, their parents should be notified etc instead of not addressing the problems). Plus the amount of abuse Katie receives herself on a daily basis could technically be 'bullying' if you put it like that.

Nobody really knows what thoughts are going around in any other person's mind. As I said, I do expect she plays on these things for more media attention (as many famous people do in many different ways), but I also won't just disregard anything she 'says' because it's an unpopular opinion.

then you are part of the problem as well, buying anything that she is featured in, in my opinion is justifying the belittlling of others.

Take her slant on alexander last night regarding the getting his clothes out a charity shop or skip whichever one it was.

Does she ever stop and think that maybe the person did because that person can only afford to buy clothes from there.

In that one sentenced she has belittled and degraded anyone unfortunate enough to have to do this.

she's a **** nothing more nothing less.

coffee 08-01-2015 12:32 PM

I think she looks good, I even said to my mum last night when Katie came on "wow! I didn't know she was kinda young and pretty! I thought she was meant to be like a wrinkled old hag!"

If we were fully aware of the risk that every little thing we say could offend others, we'd never speak without being overly cautious. I'm sure people could find anything to complain about being 'offended' by these days.

My initial thoughts were that Alexander wasn't very dressed up for the occasion and you'd have thought he'd have made more effort. Katie just said what I was thinking with a little more feistiness and humour behind it. I laughed.

I don't think gaining and losing weight quickly did the skin on her face any favours, maybe Alicia can recommend someone?

The abuse Katie receives is a reaction to the disgusting things that she says so no I wouldn't class that as bullying at all, you cant spew the bile she does and not expect to suffer any repercussions for it. And I do echo Parminions thoughts about her being controversial to carve a little career for herself

If she positions herself in the public limelight then anyone is entitled to question her opinions.

I disagree that she says what people are too afraid to say. Maybe one or two things she has although she makes very generalized sweeping comments that are aimed to outrage.

She is a clever woman, she knows saying certain things will get her in the papers, get her interviews, get her signed up for TV shows. Saying controversial things IS her career. To be fair she does it well and I admire her for making the most of the little time she will have in her life being able to make money this way.

dare I say that you are indeed a **** as well!

Pink Pegasus 08-01-2015 01:35 PM

I always thought she was very late 40's but if someone had told me she was 53, I would still have even believed that.
I find it very hard to believe she is 39. My older sister is close to mid 30's and looks about 20 years younger than Katie. So do all her friends.
Katie has a good slim figure I'll giver her that, but I'm wondering did she lie about her age when she started on television in that apprentice show and has to keep it up now? Even before the weight gain and loss thing I thought she was late 40's. :conf:

Livia 08-01-2015 02:26 PM

Katie Hopkins doesn't look 39. Maybe ten years ago or so, but not now...

GiRTh 08-01-2015 05:33 PM

No way is she 39. Add ten and you'll be closer to her real age.

joeysteele 08-01-2015 05:36 PM

Crumbs, she is only 39, I guess it must be all the bad, bigotry, prejudice and lack of any heart that makes her look so awful then and 'much older'.
Sour faced trout.

Jarvio 08-01-2015 05:41 PM

39, whichever, she is a ******!
My sister, who happens to be overweight and unemployed, was fuming at her. My sister aint lazy, she's fat because she's on medication, and regarding employment she has tried to get work like mad. Many people are unemployed and not lazy.
