No. She is saying to him stop being a big girls blouse and act like a man.

is he a big girls blouse: yes

he acts like a woman but has no womanly charm or warmth

sexist

It could be used in a homophobic way, but in this instance no.

Mystic Mock 23-01-2015 07:46 AM

So what if Perez behaves feminine? Every guy has something feminine about them (being on a BB Forum for all of us guys is the perfect example) and I'm pretty sure that every woman has something more masculine about them? There's nothing wrong in that, and only narrow minded people like Katie Hopkins can agree with her on that imo.

By which I mean, is the phrase "Take It Like A Man" in your opinion a homophobic insult. Not in relation to anyone in particular but in the real world general way.

I do think it can be seen as sexist but I am specifically talking about a homophobic insult.

Of course not,I don't see why it's even an issue,so many overly sensitive people thinking people are having a pop at them,it's laughable, all it means is be strong and stop being childish,it's a compliment to men ,if anything.

I agree again, I don't see it as a homophobic term however Perez knows her far better it seems than she likely does him, he knew by saying that he would get yet another reaction from her,and she did react strongly.
He knows easily how to wind her up.

She bites everytime.
At least it was a bit revealing that she does care that she would not be seen as being homophobic,so it helped us learn one thing about her.

She should however, as you point out, have had many a talking to from BB and indeed a warning for the 'fat' comment at the very least.

I think she considered his failings as a human being to outweigh the irrelevant issue of his sexuality. Being gay does not make you right or a good person or even define a person, it is a small part of the whole.

Ellen 23-01-2015 07:55 AM

No not Homophobic. It is just a saying.
