He reminds me of a criminal that is not sorry for the crime he committed but sorry that he got caught and must now suffer the consequences.

He is a bit like criminal but we have to remember he hasn't committed a crime.

Btw I answered in another thread but I'll mention here too. I said calling someone a knob who was crying wasn't my idea of funny. This was to the forum poster who thought the tears and name calling in the show were funny, not a claim that Perez was being abused whilst he cried.

Like Helen, after being horrid, he's going for the "journey" ploy and redemption arc. His tears are as phoney as he is.

His tears aren't fake. He cried when Nadia left and cried tonight because he'd obviously drunk a bit too much, which allowed him come out of his shell a bit more. He talked about the situation from a very personal and real point of view and I think he even got Cami's attention when he said that it was more painful than when his father died. I do think for the first time it hit her that he's still a person as well and that people/emotions and personalities are not purely black and white.

I've never bought the whole concept of playing 'the game' so to speak. At the end of the day even if people put up a front or create a different persona they will still naturally slide back into who they are. I think when Katie H cried she was genuine as well because she was so familiar with being hated and slagged off, so the nice comments actually brought her to tears.

Again, anyone that thinks that Perez was acting are just Perez haters in denial.

Either he is the greatest actor of all time, or it was real. Either way he gets some reward from me. I either applaud his fantastic acting skills, or I feel sympathy. Both ways he is doing well.

Northern Monkey 02-02-2015 07:22 AM

No sympathy. He has at some point upset everyone apart from Price.Wtf does he expect after weeks of twatishness. He has'nt even apologised yet and is still being a twat.He is only getting back what he caused.

Most narcissists can turn on and off the tears, its not a skill, its a trait if the devious mind.

rubymoo 02-02-2015 07:30 AM

He's coming across as a little boy (when he did the "play" in front of Katie P and Keith he reminded me of a 7 year old!)

I do feel sorry for him, i've always seen him as troubled.

jennyjuniper 02-02-2015 07:55 AM

I don't want to sound harsh, but Perez has brought this down upon himself. If it had been Katy H or Michelle who had gone instead of Nadia, she and Perez would be ruling the roost right now and Perez wouldn't have had to play his 'I am a victim' card.
This guy knows exactly what he is doing and why. You reap what you sow and Perez is certainly reaping right now and all according to plan I have no doubt.

johne 02-02-2015 09:02 AM

I predict Perez will have bounced back the next morning. In fact we would have heard about it by now if he'd gone into full melt down.

Cami and Kav were the two in the kitchen who witnessed the start of Perezes tears, just stared at him, and then wandered off back to the bedroom for a giggle with KH. Not amused by their behaviour at all.

For me, i'm not really bothered if his behavior is fake or not. I don't think the gang are doing themselves any favours ignoring him. They are supposed to be adults and are behaving like children

I don't like how gleeful other housemates are over any upset he feels. They are all adults and perhaps its time some of them started to act like it.

It worked then.

Personally I don't buy that being in the CBB house is worse than when his father died.

waterhog 02-02-2015 09:25 AM

he is playing a game - please don't have sympathy for him - hence todays poem of the day on a thread called "now the sympathy card to guarantee the win"

please if you don't read it please understand he is playing the game.

I concur.

I really disliked him at the beginning but the way he has been treated both by Big Brother and four of the remaining housemates has actually turned me into rather liking him and if Cami Lee does not walk away as this years winner then I would happily sit back and watch Perez take the title.

thinkingoutloud 02-02-2015 10:23 AM

The whole 'sympathy' or 'redemption' angle always tends to happen for the 'villain' of the series at some point and unfortunately a lot of people fall for it every single time. Perez has isolated himself and never done himself any favours, so why should they all suddenly start acting as though nothing has happened when he's been an absolute nightmare to live with just because Nadia has left? If he was intelligent he would have thought all this through and it also proves that he's a liar when it comes to hearing other people's perception of him.

Cherie 02-02-2015 10:24 AM

Won't see the show until weds Jaxie sounds horrible

poppsywoppsy 02-02-2015 10:54 AM

I have sympathy as much as the next person.

What I don't have is sympathy for someone who chooses to be continually appalling and offensive and cries when he is rejected.

I save my sympathy for someone who deserves it.

jaxie 02-02-2015 11:17 AM

I don't understand why so many people claim it is fake. Because he is Perez and they don't like him, can't he have feelings? How do we define who deserves our compassion?

Because we can watch his lack of empathy over his cruel taunts and actions.

He does not say sorry, or apologize, just revels in trying to stick the knife in further.

Ellen 02-02-2015 11:30 AM

With no one to enable his ridiculous behaviour after Nadia got the boot he knew what he had to do, play the sympathy card and the Great British public will fall for it. He has done his research and know's exactly what he is doing. I feel no sympathy towards him and i am certainly not falling for his woe is me act :nono:

He's been an annoying argumentative wind up. So has Hopkins. What has he done exactly to deserve a complete lack of sympathy?

Who did he knife? I must have missed that.

Patricia4 02-02-2015 11:35 AM

Sorry for him never in a million years.

chuff me dizzy 02-02-2015 11:36 AM

How anyone can have sympathy for him after his VILE actions in BB make me lose faith in human nature ,and how anyone is gullible enough to believe his sob story and his slur on his own Father ,makes me feel sick

When he was warned by BB several times, he didn't apologise he reiterated and added some.

Have you not heard of the saying, Stick the knife in?

I could say the same about people who can feel no sympathy for someone in distress. What has he done that is more vile than things your dream girl says? Specifics? I can read the nasty unfunny quotes. Vague references do not make you right.

How can anyone have sympathy? I can. I would have it for you also.
