I'd feel no differently in regards to seeing her as a brave individual who did something most of us would be too scared to do to help those in need. And no, I don't think anything she did was "stupid".
Regardless of that, there's no justification for mocking a seriously ill person. None.

As for begrudging the people of West Africa help.. sit and tot up just how much help they have been given over the past 30 years...

I don't really care what anyone, even the family, says. In my opinion, it's far from selfish to go and help people, but very selfish to sit there and begrudge them help. What she did goes against the very definition of "selfish", so it bemuses me how people can use that word.
And how is their help "in the last 30 years" relevant to anything Is said? Has this current ebola crisis been ongoing for 30 years? Or are we meant to ignore the plight of others just because we've already "helped" them with other issues in the past?

So Hopkins is the antichrist, yet is still beating Perez in the ratings.
You couldn't make it up, talking about clutching at straws. By Perez's followers.

Um, I'm not a "Perez follower", what a generalisation. It's not simply a matter of "Hopkins vs Perez" for a lot of us. Hopkins being a horrid person has nothing to do with Perez (who is himself a horrible person).
