£200k placed yesterday morning would have netted you a clear £ 1 million after expenses (phone calls) by last night. Big business for all concerned.Especially the symdicates that do this thing every year....easy money.

So not a fix, but clearly not the right result but for those that were rooting for the vacuous slapper.

Think back to sports personality .......

Rory was 1/10 on and Hamilton was 3/1 in the morning.

Hamilton won by a street....

That was rigged for Hamilton to win.....

I know plenty who won 4 and 5 figure sums by backing Hamilton.

You dont win that sort of money without something shady going on....

It was a shock because the bookmakers had installed Rory McIlroy as odds-on favourite. Hamilton had always seemed to be ‘Marmite’ — loved or hated — but the people who like him spread their love in the live phone-in to take him one place higher than he managed in 2007 and 2008. The margin — 209,920 to McIlroy’s 123,745 — was an even bigger surprise.

Thank god BB fixed it. Katie H winning would have tainted Britain's reputation.

But seriously, I don't think it was a fix, just a combination of her chav popularity + Perez voters + people with the decency to realise the Katie H alternative was scum.

Hi there, I appreciate what you are saying I used to think exactly the same but sadly I have learnt over the years that there is such a thing as a "betting coup", people will vote for another if the one they dislike is in the running to win. Also someone who goes in on a lower betting percentage will be good odds to support if facts are known.

We have to face the fact that those who went have their own fans and they will vote against the one which was disliked by that HM. Evicted HMs have the benefit of going on BOTS and making trouble for their hated HM, as did Perez and Nadia with BOTS and Loose Women". Each one blamed KH but didnt look at their own behaviour and share the responsibility, they just spouted venom.

There is such a lot to consider but I think I was lucky to see my favourite three in the top five, was hoping that Kav would get there but he didnt. All I have to say once again is, thank goodness it is all over. They have all got their pay cheques it will be interesting to see if they all continue their "wars". Tbh it isnt a good show as it vibrates a lot of negativity which we could do without and possibly shouldnt even watch. I just keep on hoping that it will get better, I dont think it will now though.

I'm not saying the votes were rigged, but something smells of fish.

I agree it was probably in her contract that if she went on the show she would win it, that's why she was over acting every results show, all the huffing and puffing, I don't buy it

Katie P has Katie H to thank for the win.
I know several people who said if Katie H was in the final two they would vote for the other HM so she did not win.
If you shove such a controversial character in the house then this will happen.
She divided people. Katie P did not do/say anything nasty. She was just a more appealing version of Keith.

Well IF she has won through those means what a shallow win,it must mean so much more to win it off your own merit surely, and blimey if all those were together voting enmass,KH must have had a hell of a lot of support to come second and off her owm merit I might add, with no 'coups' so well done to her, there is no shame in second.:wavey:

I know someone who worked on another reality show in the production team & you can't put in a persons contract they will win if you have a paying public voting.
Ofcom & others would tear you apart. It's not legal to ask people to vote if the result is already set in stone. You would be sued or taken off the air.
Katie P just really wanted to win that's all

Tribal Spaceman 07-02-2015 10:50 AM

Not if the people in charge are in on it as well. :o

Because "everyone you know" is a clear indicator of who the whole country is voting for.

There was no fix. She won fair and square. Get over it, people. If your favorite had won, you wouldn't be saying anything.

But you could say that about any show these days.
Look at the awful winners on X Factor in recent years :hehe:

We have this thing called social media these days, which puts us in contact with thousands of people. Katie Price was nobody's winner. This isn't about "my favourite", I'm not some Digital Spy nutjob obsessed with one housemate. I'd have been happy to see Calum, Michelle or Katie Hopkins win it, but I never saw this coming.

There is something dodgy about this result, and while it's probably ridiculous to put it down to vote rigging there has definitely been a lot of manipulation involved.

But not everyone is on Social Media.
Maybe people voted for her because they liked her. Nothing more, nothing less.
Just because you did not agree with the result does not mean it was a fix
Unless you have spoken to EVERY person who voted last night you would never know.
I hated last Summers winner-Helen taking the title but others obviously liked her. I did not think it was a fix.

What a load of old trout !

Tribal Spaceman 07-02-2015 11:03 AM

You lost me at the "shrug shoulders" smiley. For some reason that always comes across as passive aggressive to me!

Wonder how many people voted when it was down to the last two? Seems to me that people just went for the person who *wasn't* Katie Hopkins.

 Its meant to say "what else can be done, the result is final, we can't change it now".
How is that passive aggressive

Tribal Spaceman 07-02-2015 11:09 AM

I think it's because I've been visiting the wrong forums in the past!

warrenhill 07-02-2015 11:13 AM

At the end of the day its simple.....

Why put her in 10 days after the show had started.....?

Housemates should have NO contact with the outside world but ever since Channel 5 have taken the show this rule has changed.

House mate being allowed "treats" whilst in there including outside visits and time off to do articles etc.

poppsywoppsy 07-02-2015 11:17 AM

I thought it was the fan base of Price, along with the Perez fans vote along with the dislike Katie H brought into the house from her outside comments.

All together made it unlikely KH would win.

Social media? Ok - still not everybody who voted, but let's use your example. This morning, KP's contestant picture was up there with Callum on most likes. She was in second next to Michelle on retweets from the official BB twitter page. And her picture announcing her as the winner has 50,000 likes - more than anything else on the BB UK Official FB page since it was created. So yeah, I'd say plenty wanted her to win.

I'll also add that if you look at the sticky poll asking us who we want to win, more people replied with KP than any other contestant.

But yes, she "has was nobody's winner."

"I'd have been happy to see Calum, Michelle or Katie Hopkins win it, but I never saw this coming."

Of course you would've! Then you wouldn't be saying it is a "fix".

Sorry to hear that.
I wonder if Keith would have won if Katie P had not gone in the house ?.
Maybe he would have benefitted from the Anti-Katie H vote.

Yes, because in those three minutes after Callum got evicted, everyone voted for KP. :hehe:

If that was the case, they would've mentioned it on the show like how they mentioned the 1% that separated the three contestants the day Alicia was evicted.

Slevin 07-02-2015 11:57 AM

first time i been on here in months or anywhere regarding this series. i never pay attention to odds but her winning was not a shock to me with so many followers and even her ex husband Alex Reid won. i did think her being surprised was a load of **** lol

Razor 07-02-2015 12:44 PM

I'm just glad Hopkins didn't win as are allot of people I know. This is why In my eyes Katie P won.
