That's cute:laugh:

I remember over hearing a conversation between my daughters when they were about 8, it was about death and one daughter said...."when your times up, its up, god will come and get you..."

My other daughter replied...."he won't get me, i'm going to hide in a dustbin!":joker:

I used to think that the coast across the sea view from my balcony was France (it was Brixham).

When our first house got burgled after we came back from a holiday I believed evil/nasty cats destroyed the house and stole stuff, I would go on as a kid to see a cat in the street and be careful approaching it just incase it was an evil cat that destroys houses and steals belongings.

When we moved into our new house there were no chimneys and I wondered how Santa got in the house, my dad jokingly said he comes in through the window or the back door. For the 3/4 years after that I believed in Santa every Christmas I would make sure a window or door was left unlocked for Santa to get in

I used to think there was a monster living in the boiler cupboard upstairs.

I used to believe there was a man in the moon..even used to talk to him when walking home in the dark to stop me worrying about snakes.

Always thought a snake was going to jump out of the loo when I was sat in it..to this day if I am stressed I think there could be a snake in the bed and check it out before getting in.

On yeah, I have this thing abou snakes:hehe:

Prior to starting school, I thought the classroom was called a "glassroom", so I pictured a room inside a giant drinking glass. :umm2:

I also thought the rag and bone men were coming to abduct me for some reason, I was terrified of them.

Also, I was told that the angel on top of the Christmas tree was alive, and on Christmas Eve she'd grow big and help Santa when he brought the presents. I think this was meant to be a nice idea, but I'd look at the angel's eyes and be convinced they followed me when I moved. :umm2:

I believe all the same things

I used to think the rag and bone man was shouting his dog called "ragpole!!!!".

Until one day I said "Fgs, that man's lost his dog again!" and my sister burst out laughing.

I believed Sesame Street was real.

(Kermit was my best friend)

I went to convent school and one of the nuns told us kids that if we were naughty she would throw holy water over us and it would burn us. Needless to say, I was a naughty child that was terrified of holy water.

In the loft of my house, the roof was sort of "foil lined". It had metallic, shiny stuff on it anyway. My dad also had a habit of going into the loft for things and leaving the hatch open. Just above the hatch on the roof, some of the foil stuff had come away in a sort of jagged pattern. For years (and I mean, years) I was terrified to walk under the open loft hatch, because I 100% believed that it was claw marks, that some sort of beast lived up there, and that it might reach down and snatch me. I used to run / dive / crawl / skid along the floor under that hatch (it was right in front of my bedroom!) in absolute terror.

Can remember my old man used to keep his boat at a sailing club just beyond this massive power station, he always told me it was where a bunch of giants lived and that they would all come out at night. One night we were meant to be staying the night on the boat and I was scared sh*tless that the giants were gonna come out in the middle of the night and take me, threw such a big tantrum over it refusing to go that eventually he relented and told me it wasn't true. Very cruel father really :idc:
