LMAO! I have never read any of the 50 shades stuff, I prefer well-written erotica...even my daughter who has read them says they are terrible. I do, however, know my serial killers, and I am trying to decide which is the more disturbing...

I only know what I have been told about the book. One of my daughter's friends used the book as a basis for an assignment in her English class. She has told me some rather disturbing things about how the book disguises abuse as S&M and how at one point the girl says no, or uses the safe word but the guy just carries on against her will. She also says that she finds it a bit off that the author never uses the word 'penis' but will happily downplay emotional abuse and dress it up as romance.

Again, I haven't read it.. but she's a smart kid, and I doubt she is exaggerating.

Not sure I class it as the 'mommy porn' it has been labelled. The media presume everyone over 30 who has children will be loving these books. I fit that criteria and I am not rushing out to buy a copy.

I'm not a prude. I've read erotic fiction, but from excerpts I have seen, this is a badly written fanfic.

Smithy said this too, but I have read all three and honestly cannot place this...I have read it on internet sites before that this happens, but never in the actual books :/
