RiDICKulous.I'm sure weddings would be big business for pizza.Imagine how many pizzas you'd need for a wedding.Finger food it is then,I'm sure there'll be a big spread:joker:

Liam- 02-04-2015 03:09 PM

Just give the gays their pizza and take their money, they're not asking you to take them up the aisle in more ways than one :bored:

Yes I get that but how does serving Pizza endorse gay marriage in anyway?

They do serve everyone, but they refused to specifically cater a wedding party for the same reason the printers in Ireland did.

Yes I understand that but I still don't get how providing the service that they're in the business of means that they endorse the event

Kizzy 02-04-2015 03:42 PM

ooh..... de ja vu.

I don't know but they obv think it conflicts with their Christian ethics, religion eh? what a crock

Ammi 02-04-2015 03:43 PM

..so they serve gays who may be married and they serve gays who may plan to be married but they won't serve gays on their wedding day....I don't think their 'beliefs' are very well thought out...

MTVN 02-04-2015 03:43 PM

I suppose they think they are being 'complicit' in it and showing a tacit display of support to gay marriage however minor it is

Crimson Dynamo 02-04-2015 04:01 PM

The sad thing is if you interviewed them it would boil down to "it says so in the bible" - I would wager they dont really know where and i would wager if you said well it says you should not do this (list like 10 things) but you seem to do them ?

they would have feck all to say

It really is the one thing that's focused on, like that's the only thing the Bible says you shouldn't do/condone

What a forum.

Spot The Difference:

A) "Kenya: Masked (MUSLIM EXTREMIST) Terrorists have killed 15 or more at a University

"We sorted people out and released the Muslims," said spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab.

"There are many dead bodies of Christians inside the building. We are also holding many Christians alive. Fighting still goes on inside the college."

POSTS - 1 RESPONSE.

B) "USA:Indiana (CHRISTIAN EXTREMIST) pizzeria refuses to serve Gays : Closes"

POSTS - 37 mainly negative.

 Maybe for us Christians to be more accepted on TIBB, we should start abducting, shooting and beheading - especially in schools - rather
than the more extreme stuff like refusing to serve pizza to gays.

To be honest LT, I'm beginning to be less bothered about making it to page 1.

The worlds largest read Newspaper website are leading on this:

Neighbours' 35-year row over 40ft leylandii comes to an end as owner is allowed to KEEP the trees despite claims they knock £20,000 off the value of next door's house

I had to a search to find the Kenya story buried at the bottom of the site

the truth 02-04-2015 05:00 PM

the other argument about whether a business chooses to cover gay marriage is different imo...if a person doesn't want to supply their services for a gay marriage, whist I disagree with the decision I don't see that as wrong or illegal...but this is plauin discrimination..crazy

:clap1::clap1::clap1: Yes, Arista, I believe this is the case, and you have 'hit the nail squarely on the head', and those responsible know that the ensuing reportage from such tactics convinces people that this is a far more widespread problem than it really is, and leads to yet more 'Christianity Bashing'.

I find it strange that it is only extreme Christian businesses who seem to be reported - are there no Muslim businesses who refuse to serve Gays on religious grounds?

Or are there more sinister reasons to the fact that it is only Christian businesses making the headlines? Is this yet just another part of some larger, predetermined Global plan to induce anti-Christian feelings in the populace? Similar to, or part of the predetermined plan which has already seen Anti-Semitic propaganda employed with such sickening success?

Looking beyond the 'headlines' and the cold prejudice of the written word, something does not sit square about all these 'Christian Extremist snubbing of Gay patronage' stories, as surely as the falsehoods peddled by anti-Semitics about Israel and Palestine do not.

I hope they get them on the Media

It says a lot, doesn't it? It's the classic 'its okay to hate christians because they all hate gays but if you hate muslims (even though some kill) you're awful'...

Myself, I don't give a rats ass about either, but this whole internet mentality about being able to hate some things, but it being totally wrong to hate another, really, really pisses me off. That's not equality. I hate and love everyone equally. If someone does something awful, it makes me mad.

And also, unpopular opinion here, but so what if they refused a gay couple? For one, who the F goes to a pizza place for a wedding, two, they can always find somewhere else, and 3, you cant force EVERYONE to like and accept gay people. There are places in the world where it's still illegal to be gay. Places where it's still acceptable to stone people to death for being gay.

I don't know, but when I hear about things like this, I kind of just roll my eyes. So what if they refused someone for being gay? Worse things happen in the world. What I think people need to realise is that you can't force people to accept things. It's just not right. And while I do agree that it's sad that they refused to cater for this gay couple, I also think they should be allowed their own opinions.

Anyway, I'm sorry for the rant. It's just something that is very important to me. One of my best friends was the first ever boy to come out as gay at our school. There was over 1,300 of us at that school. It's one of the bravest things I've ever seen. And one thing he said to me will honestly stick with me for life and not a lot of people think like this. He said 'I can't force people to accept me. A lot of people think being gay is wrong, but I'm okay with that. Not everyone can love me.'

I was only 16 when he told me this, but I actually teared up.

I just wish people realised that you can get homophobic muslims, homophobic christians, racist white people, racist black people, etc etc. It's not just ALL under one roof.

Live and let live, I say. Perhaps one day, the couple who own the pizza parlour will see the light and allow people to get married. But the way to do that, isn't to force them and give them hate. It's to accept their opinions and try to educate them. This is something I am very passionate about.

I agree but being able to legislate on religious matters gives a very dangerous message, that their prejudices are accepted by society.
And if Christians are afforded that right then it seems unconstitutional as it's making people 2nd class citizens again.
They are bigots, but they believe in the bible which extols the virtues of such behaviours and the law supports them too... so effectively what have they done wrong?
