Oh ok, I'd rather it be 9 weeks. Though saying that, I get sick of it after a while

MB. 10-04-2015 12:34 PM

It hasn't been 13 weeks since BB10. :suspect:

Phillip! 10-04-2015 12:39 PM

They'll probably extend it knowing C5

elliebrew 10-04-2015 12:51 PM

cAN SOMEONE POST THE DOCUMENT IMAGES??

Matt 10-04-2015 01:07 PM

These planning applications were submitted in July 2013 and approved in September 2013, and civilian Big Brother was still ten weeks long last year (same length as all C5 series), so they aren't specifically proof that C5 is planning to cut the length of BB this year

Rob! 10-04-2015 01:19 PM

Has it been confirmed exactly how long the gap is going to be? If it's a good few weeks it surely gives them the opportunity to extend it if it goes well?

probably 4 weeks, if its starting early May and for 8 weeks then it finished early July, and CBB starts mid august so 4-6 week gap maximum probably.

Here's the most interesting image in the documents:

The document is listed as "new" (when it was submitted).

Jamesy 10-04-2015 01:29 PM

Just reading through the documents and the whole 8 weeks thing isn't solid fact. It states that C5 is interested in an 8 week civilian series, but it is by no means set in stone. The series could well be longer than that.

MB. 10-04-2015 01:30 PM

Could you give a link to these documents? (...well, a working one...)

MB. 10-04-2015 01:32 PM

And I'd love it if they did go with a BB8-style exterior set. Actually, I'd just love it if they just changed the exterior set.

Jack_ 10-04-2015 01:34 PM

ew the BB8 walkway was vile, but I guess any change at this point will be good

Hopefully they'll move the dome set to the left hand side, or better still get rid of it completely

Oh and an 8 week series would be pathetic, I am so sick of C5 putting the civilian show on the back foot :bored:

Did you not like it? I loved it  it was so different to all the others.

It didn't work too great at the time, but if they shorten it a little and play music over the evictions like they do these days, I think it could be quite a good idea. Quite.

That link should work (hopefully)

Will. 10-04-2015 01:44 PM

oh I thought it was a BB8 style house, mis red it was exterior! Thats awesome that were getting a new exterior stage, going to watch BB8 launch to see what it looked like.

Jamesy 10-04-2015 01:46 PM

Yeah the BB8 walkway was awful at the time. It would work well for C5 though if they ever make changes to the exterior. The added countdown and music would suit a long walkway.

MB. 10-04-2015 01:49 PM

I've noticed a few references to 2007 in the documents (that might have been when they'd previously applied for planning permission) so it might be possible that they've just re-used the drawings.

Ah well, we can dream...

Will. 10-04-2015 01:52 PM

so we might not get a new exterior set?

MB. 10-04-2015 01:54 PM

Doubt it.

Rob! 10-04-2015 01:59 PM

These documents are like a couple of years old though - why would we be getting an outside change now?

I don't think it will start in Early May.
If it did, the eye would've been revealed by today.

I genuinely think it's launching the week after, around 13-14th May.
It hasn't been confirmed that it's an 8 week series. They probably want it to be 8 weeks, but I hope it's not.

If it is ten weeks, then the series will end in late July, presuming it launches on the 13/14th, then I guess there would be a 3 week break.

4-6 week gap is really big. I think a 2-4 week break is more than enough, considering it used to launch about 2-3 days after the civilian, in the last few years.

Because house changes are planned 2 years in advance, and maybe with the big house changes this year they will change the exterior at the same time.

I cannot see anything getting changed on the outside though. But we can dream!
