..there was an racial incident quite locally to me recently where a lady with her baby was subjected to abuse in a playground...

..and this is just because she has a certain faith..we hear about families going to Syria to join what is a small percentage of something that's awful/and it is awful...but with the Muslim community in the UK, it's still only a very, very tiny percentage of Muslims who have gone and I think that needs perspective as well so it doesn't cause these fears that are causing people like this lady to be persecuted...

This is awful. Who the F does this to a mother and baby... things like this make my blood boil.

However, this type of stuff happens to people from ALL faiths... When I used to work in Bradford, most of the people I worked had some truly disgusting things said to them by Muslims, because they worked in a Christian school. I had some things said to me because of my skin colour and there was even a teacher approached with a gun (which she soon found out was a BB gun and unloaded, but still)

It upsets me so much that people think they can target people because they are different to them. It really does make me so angry.

And yeah, whilst a small percentage of Muslims from the UK do join ISIS (and this is steadily rising...), it makes me angry that people think they can use that as an excuse for being absolute twats....

..I think that's the thing though, it's separating the people/character who they are/not great people from the religion and culture they are..

This happened more or less because she was white through. The boys family had a history for their 'attitude' towards certain teachers...

..yeah it is racist obviously and I know that life experience can have effects of people's own views etc and thoughts but I would say that it's still a very tiny percentage of people who discriminate like this and an even smaller percentage to such extreme extents...

This is abhorrent and should never be deemed acceptable or the reasons behind it ever tried to be justified. It is the same as the anti-Semitism escalating around the world - unfathomable.

It does not state in the article the actual age group of those ignorant morons who were harassing her and her child - were they very young or teenagers?

Even if they were below the age of legal responsibility this mother should have notified the police.

She is not responsible for whatever evils the Islamic Terrorists are perpetrating and it's pure ignorance.
