We will stamp out this terrible crime where business avoids tax ... ah but wait, sorry we can't do anything really.

This is the problem with the EU. People have been moaning about Ireland for years, its in the EU yet its allowed to change its tax rates to compete unfairly in what is supposed to be a level playing field. They ran in to serious financial difficulty, and who was the first country to bail them out - the UK, no strings attached.

Couldn't stop laughing when I saw this clip. SO looking forward to the full interview. Ed attempting the glottal stop in order to be more relevant. I'm surprised Brand could keep a straight face.

Niamh. 29-04-2015 12:41 PM

what was wrong with the video?

Dave has his tory HQ engineered letters and his hustings with invited wristband identifiable stooges so he's not really in any position to criticise, all his interviews are practically scripted.

Yes it would be great for Brand to tell his followers to vote for Miliband now that the deadline to register to vote has passed and Brand has spent the last two years telling them all not to bother voting :fan:

I honestly think Milliband will cost Labour this Election. He's kind of embarrassing,I can't see many people taking him seriously and i think most of Labours votes will be the life time voters who vote Labour whatever leader they have.I know we should vote for policies but alot of people will look at Milliband and be put off by him and his cartoon hand gestures and speech impediment.I just can't see him attracting new voters in their masses. He imo is doing more harm than good.I think Andy Burnham or Ed Balls would be taken more seriously and do better as far as this election.Imo.

Are you presuming that all brands fans aren't already registered to vote? I'm a brand fan, I'm registered to vote.... :smug:

joeysteele 29-04-2015 06:06 PM

Well at least Ed Miliband is perhaps trying to find out why people don't vote and what can be done to help persuade them to.
If you don't talk to those who don't,nothing will ever be learned.

I could just see the slating going on, had Ed Miliband actually gone to see Brand before the deadline to register to vote was passed.
As it is he went after it has passed,a good move indeed.
Ed Miliband also already knows he has a fair amount of support from younger voters anyway, as opposed to the Conservatives who are losing the younger voters from the polling bigtime.

Also too, from younger people today, who may or may not vote, that we came across,David Cameron has done himself no favours at all virtually describing Brand as irrelevant.

get real joey it was a cheap political stunt that seems to have largely backfired

meanwhile DC was on Jeremy Vine today (the largest radio station in the UK) and was excellent

empire 29-04-2015 06:14 PM

well with two rich champagne socialists, in the same room, what do you expect, miliband and brand are the two biggest snakes I have every seen on tv.

Crimson Dynamo 29-04-2015 06:28 PM

When you were to ever balance your views you can then justifiably tell others to get real.

I am never likely to agree with you anyway so I really cannot get why you even respond to any post I make.

I never even actually bothered to read your post until you responded to one of mine with your usual put down too that I have come to expect all the time from you.
Which is why I largely ignore your posts.

Kizzy 29-04-2015 07:23 PM

It makes it even sweeter that it didn't backfire though Joey :D
Anyone who thinks that Daves interviews aren't cleverly scripted spin needs to get real.
