This is sad news, he used to wind me up at times but he often sent me a pm with a nice message to it too,and we had some good responses to each others posts when he was on the forum.

His name has been around here ever since I joined and it does feel bad that we won't now hear from him again.
R.I.P. Claymores.

Marsh. 07-05-2015 08:22 PM

I remember the username from a while back but I don't think I ever interacted with him that I can remember.

Always sad to hear stuff like this. R.I.P and condolences to his family.

Was he elderly or quite young?

I was thinking of the 4am club today actually after I read this thread and then it got me thinking of Kerry :(

Ian had a lot of time for Kerry as she did for him, they got on well most of the time apart from a few tiffs.

The forum has changed a lot these past few years.

Not sure exactly what age he was but I think he was older

Ammi 08-05-2015 02:58 AM

...I'm not sure he had any immediate family/I cant recall if his brother is still alive but he lost his mum not so long ago which was very hard for him...the person he was closest to on here was always Sooty..she was his constant/his calm waters...he always listened to her even though he always did it his way because that was Ian...

..I don't think there is a song I could give him that he would think more appropriate...Rest in Peace now, Ian.....
