...yeah I think explosive for sure because if it didn't happen naturally then BB would make it happen anyway....with Sarah and Nick especially I though, they were very nervous and actually that made me warm to them more because the VTs are always a bit OTT and just to get chosen...

Yes, it's a shame that they all have to focus and exaggerate their negative points; "I'm a total bitch. I'm a complete twat with no friends. I'm fat. I vote UKIP." Once it all settles down, their actual personalities hardly ever portray their VTs!

Yeah, I'm ok thanks. Hope you're back around for a while....we have missed you

Lee. 13-05-2015 11:43 AM

Thanks Annie.. Yeah I'll stick around for a while. I always find it hard to come back after a while away for some reason. We had a wee scare with Samuel at the beginning of the year and I went into full panic mode again and didn't come on here for ages! Looking forward to a summer of BB chat and nonsense though!

..I think for a while you'll associate any worries you have with him Lee but it'll get less in time ...

I do hope so Ammi. I definitely coped better with the whole thing whilst we were in hospital last year better than I am now since he's finished treatment. I honestly don't think the fear of relapse will ever go away, but hopefully it'll get easier :)

..it's not something that will go slowly and easily because it's the most fearful thing that you've had to face and fear and helplessness are such strong emotions and there is always that thing also that his system is low for a year or so because of the illness and also the chemo/medication etc...so he'll be open to being susceptible to catching things, which will always bring those feelings back...but I think in time and as he gets stronger and stronger and catches things less, then the fears for you will fade, it's not that you'll forget obviously but you just won't worry in the same ways that you do now and feel dread...I know lots of children who have had cancer just because of working in a school for so long and after the same fears etc that you feel, they're more.....you are going to school today, it's just a cold now go and get dressed....

Yeah it must be horrific - you will be watching for any sign I'm sure and once you are out of the safety net of the hospital it must be so much harder. Hopefully though, he will go from strength to strength and that will be easier to cope with.

Thanks ladies :) He's looking fab just now and his blood counts are all still perfect so can't ask for much more. Onwards and upwards! :)
