I didn't warm to Jade launch night she was in my bottom two with Chloe. Surprisingly though both seemed to come across much much better to me in tonights show!

It's just one of those current fashionable words that bland people use to try and make themselves sound more interesting!
Why do people feel the need to pigeonhole themselves into a one word defined label instead of just being a person who happens to do this or that etc.
The one that i find really pretentious and silly of late is when people inform you, usually with a slightly smug expression on their mush that ''oh ya.....i'm Straight Edge' instead of just saying ''i don't drink or take drugs'', especially when they accompany it with the stupid 'crossed X forearms' symbol.

I didn't like her from the off but as soon as she categorized herself like that in the hope that people would ask her ''oh, what's polyamorous ?...........i'm so very interested...........NOT!!!!!!''

She should just get ''I'm a massively un-interesting TWAT'' tattoo'd on her forehead and be done with it!

just thinkin 15-05-2015 08:30 AM

so sick of this word already - is it supposed to make somebody more interesting - from her conversation last night I get the impression that she is just a regular young one, single, not in an exclusive relationship and playing the field - (same as what single young ones do the world over) - didn't know there was an 'exclusive' word for that - bear in mind she also said she would be doing this until she found the 'one' and they she (and he) would have to be exclusive.(if i heard it right). but otherwise she seems like an okay person

sooo.... everyday shananigans wrapped up in a 'trendy' word, to make something out of nothing. move on

She'll grow up.I was polyamorous too at her age.I just did'nt give it a name:laugh:

just thinkin 15-05-2015 08:33 AM

lol northern monkey - I think everybody was. Another thing that makes me laugh is that she says its hard to be like that especially in Dublin as its backward (or something along those lines). I think it's more of a case of people in Dublin saying 'ah here, another one thinking' she's so different and misunderstood - come back in a few years loveen and we can all have a laugh about it'.

haha this is true

But in all seriousness it was probably something to say to get on the show, when she was explaining it, it did just sound like someone who didn't want to get into a serious relationship and nothing more.

Or she could have just said, 'I sleep around in a tarty fashion'.

Holy crap, just cause she doesnt want to be tied to a long term relationship doesn't make her a slapper or any other derogatory term used to describe her.

Is this 2015 or 1920?

I like her, I think she has a lot more going for her than 95% of the other housemates who people are preening over, and seem incapable of doing no wrong

Has she put herself about all the guys in the house? No

Does she look like she will be an interesting housemate? Yes

Does she use cosmetic enhancement like the majority of other housemates (male and female)? No

She gets my vote any day of the week :smug:

It really annoys me how young single girls are still labelled "slappers" etc for not wanting to be tied down just yet.

Mokka 15-05-2015 09:38 AM

I was ok with her claim to the word on the first night... to each his own

But now after hearing her own personal definition of the word and how she applies it to herself, I am pissed off about it.

She is using the word to define sleeping around without commitment, and has said she will committee to one person in marriage someday and would never be in a marriage that isn't monogamous....

But in actuality it is the term used to describe commitment to more than one person in relationships, as in free love. Freedom to love and commit to more than one person, not freedom to have a few flings with a different people that have no commitment.

The fact that she is misusing the term to get on the show makes me dislike her a lot. She just fell to the bottom of my rankings list

She is only free to the bone until she gets married, how does that actually work, what she really means is that she has not met anyone yet that she feels she can commit fully to, polyamourous indeed :idc:

Yeah basically

I agree Mokka that she either doesn't fully understand what the word means or that she used it to get in the house but I won't judge her for that, I'm sure they all fibbed a bit to make themselves appear more interesting to get in there

I judge Niamh.... I judge :fist:

:joker::joker:

but really, both the fact that she has no idea what the word means and she is using it as a banner for herself... that is the type of stupidity in a person that I really can not stand
